Kensington Editor Kate Duffy has passed away, and I can’t think of any way to explain what that means to me. She wasn’t my editor, and she wasn’t my friend. I’d met her at several conferences, was lucky enough to have had drinks and meals with her at various times. She was straightforward, smart, and funny. And she wasn’t scared to have a couple of shooters either! She was a wonderful woman, and she’ll be missed.
