***SPOILERS***

I’ve been talking TV shows with Jordan and Charlene, and thought Id share my thoughts. See what everyone else is thinking…
It all started with talk of CASTLE.
Someone mentioned how much it shocked them and they were looking forward to the next season. Me, not so much.
I agree with them that it was good to finally see Castle and Becket have “the fight” where they admit their feelings in a way that can’t be taken back. However, I think it was too long coming. I’ve sort of given up on the show. I’m not a super patient person for things like that. I mean , I understand build-up and tension, but when it gets to be where I feel like it’ll never end, I’m done.
The same thing happened with Ilona Andrews books. I read the first 3, and thoroughly enjoyed them, then thought, I’m done, because I got tired of being strung along. (Yes I did go out and buy the next one after Jordan blogged about the payoff, and it was good. I’m glad I read it, but I’m still done with the series. Thats just me.
Sadly, I feel the same way about the Stephanie Plum books. I LOVED those books. (still love the first 10)I was buying them the day they released in hardcover, now I just don’t care. I’ll pick one up at the library if I see it, but I’m done. I can’t even enjoy the humor anymore because it;s just the same thing over and over and Steph is never going ot choose between Ranger and Joe, now I hear rumors of a guy from her past coming back to liven things up, but honestly, I’ve lost interest.
Back to Castle….I also thought the third man might be the Captain, but his death DID surprise me and I really liked the way it was done. Beckets getting shot didn’t surprise me at all. IN fact, it pissed me off because it’s such a cliched cliffhanger, especially because we know she can’t be dead. If the next season she remains dead, then I’ll be hooked again. But if she’s back, I’m done caring. I’ll still watch when there’s nothig else on (most likely) but I won’t be a fan…if that makes sense.
Bones was another one we talked about. I don’t mind Brennan being pregnant, and I like that they worked her real life one in the story. But I’ve been losing interest in the show for a while. It’s not Bones and Booth, because I really do like the way the show’s handled their relationship. It’s way more realistic than Castle, what with the girlfriends, and actually saying I love you, and not being able to be together. It’s just felt off. I think they need to bring in someone new to shake things up. Maybe another big serial killer, plus Angelas baby might make things interesting.
Maybe I’m the only one dissatisfied with things recently because Supernatural has bored me for 2 seasons, and I LOVED that show fanatically for the first few seasons.
Mary is pregnant on In Plain Sight, another of my favorite shows, and I’m very interested to see how that one’s handled as I love her for her kick ass snarkyness.
What have you been watching? Anything you’ve become bored or dissatisfied with recently? Or are you still loving them?
Tell me in the comments, and be entered to win this beaded necklace. Blue for calm and peaceful thoughts.
I’ll announce the winner on Monday.

  1. I’m huge on Bones and House, but not as mcuh so as the first few seasons. Although the ending to house this past season was more explosive than the whole year.
This summer I’ve picked up on Switched at Birth. It’s a very unique show and I think the storyline is very interesting. It’s about two girls who were switched at birth, one’s a red head and one’s part latina. The red head (Daphne) happens to be deaf though. There are a lot of differences that have to be worked out between the two families. Did I include that one family has lots of money, and the other none? It’s just really caught my attention and kept it.

  2. Becky W

I’m huge fan of Bones, House and Castle. I’m up in the air about Castle myself. I wasn’t crazy about how they dealt with Castle and Becket feelings for each other. I thought they had dragged it out to far. Also I’m not sure if I liked how the cliffhanger was. I will have to wait and see how I feel next season if I continue to watch it or not.
I didn’t get to watch the last few shows of Bones because of my work schedule, but I am excited for the Booth/Brennan baby. I also think it is time for some new to make the show more interesting.
