Money

Money

How important is it to you?

Is it something you strive to accumulate just for the sake of having it? Or so you can buy pretty things, or cool electronic gadgits? Or do you just try to make enough to get buy so you can be lazy?
Or are you willing to sacrifice the almighty dollar to do what you find enjoyable as a career?

I think it’s too easy these days to get wrapped up in money. To forget that really we don’t need cable TV, or Digital cameras, or brand name clothing. I try very hard not too, but every now and then I realize I’m getting sucked into the grip of the dollar and have to remind myself of what’s important.

Now, when it comes to gift giving, do you care how much is spent? or Are you more impressed with the thought that goes into the gift? And if you can’t think of something special, so you compensate for the lack of idea by making sure the gift you give is an expensive one? And be honest, I know I tend to overcompensate if I can’t think of a gret gift idea. 😀

Money – What’s that? I’ve been on the world’s tightest budget forever, so I don’t know what I’d say under "normal" circumstances. I am known for being, shall we say "frugal". Cheap. Tightwad. Yep, that’s me. Gifting: I’d rather get a gift certificate to my favorite bookstore than an "impressive" gift with no thought behind it, same for giving. :satisfied:

  2. I want enough money so I don’t have to think about money…

I like gifts that are meaningful…like one time my mom bought me these runners for Christmas, now they were every day regular runners, but she remembered a fight I had with my ex about not having enough money for me to get new runners…

It is always the thought that counts…ALWAYS.

Scorpio~ I’m prety frugal myself most of the time. 🙂 It’s not a bad thing.

    Jordan ~ I think that’s the perfect attitude. 🙂

Vivi~ That’s the key to gift giving isn’t it? The thinking and the thought. Very sweet Mom. 🙂

  4. Vivi, I like your view on money!
As for gifts, it’s not quantity, it’s not even quality. I’m just happy that someone thought of me. But no one ever seems to believe me when I say all I want are books and CDs or gift certificates to places where I can GET books and CDs.
