and The Serial Killer!

I don’t normally do review type stuff…but what the hell. 😛

This is the first book I’ve read by Jennifer Skully, but definitely not the last!

Sex and the Serial Killer starts off with Roberta Jones Spivey getting a makeover after her husband dumps her for his high school sweetheart. I was sucked immediately in this characters head, and her life. I couldn’t help but sympathize as she dyes her hair, changes her name, and moves to a small town to try and get her ex back. But when she moves in directly across the street from a “serial killer” with a killer body I stop sympathizing, and start cheering!

Nick Angel, the Hero of this novel is HOT! There is no other way to describe the guy. And to be honest, “alleged” serial killer or not, if he lived across the street from me, I’d find a way to get to know him better too!

Sex and the Serial Killer is fast paced and funny with a bit of a twist. And although there weren’t really enough sex scenes for me . . .what was there, was well done. 😉

  1. I remember when she joined the Harlequin/Silhouette authors list right after she sold. That was her original title for her book. She got FLAK from people on the list about the title! They thought it was offensive. I figured it was tongue in cheek, and most people on that list are…..tightly strung. LOL.

It was tongue in cheek for sure…and sets the tone for the whole book. I’m sure there are some that will not enjoy it, or even see the humor in it. But I did! :hehe:

  3. I really like Jennifer’s name. That was the first thing I noticed when there was a thread about the title of her book at AAR last week or so. Many readers in that thread dislike the book title as well.

  4. Oh, yeah–I’ve seen some of the flak poor Jen has taken for this title. Annoys me, because it IS meant to be tongue-in-cheek. She’s such a nice gal to have to put up with comments like "I’ll never read a book with a title like that." Grr.
