Sunday Nights

Sunday Nights

I’m not a huge t.v fan. But there are a few shows out there I really really enjoy, and make a point of watching. One of those shows is Cold Case. I always make the time on Sunday nights to watch it.

This series is well worth your time. Great writing and acting make the characters come alive and the stories engaging and touching. The use of music as a storytelling tool isn’t a new one, but if you checkout this show you’ll see that it’s ingenius use is very effective.

Cold Case has been known to bring a tear to my eye once or twice as well. I guess that’s why I love it though. Like a good book, it engages me.

I get to watch The District every now and then. I like what I’ve seen so far. Another good one is MISSING. An FBI one about missing persons.

  2. Cold Squad was on the air a full five years before the Americans copied it. Okay, so that is one flower. Another flower for telling me what Canadian series LA Law was based on? Hmmmm?

    1 Flower?:O You said FlowerS for Sasha… 😉
Lawyer shows were never my thing so I don’t know the answer to that one. I guess one is better than none. 😎

  4. Flowers, plural, was if you got the answer completely right. You identified it as the Canadian "version" when in fact it was the "original", with Cold Case being the "American version". You with me? And you said it was on for a couple of seasons, when in fact it began way back last century, in 1998. So I am afraid I had to deduct flowers. However, the one you do get can be a rose. How’s that?

  5. Oh, and the answer to the second question… LA Law was based on the CBC series "Street Legal" a show that launched the career of… which Judge Advocate General? Are these too tough for you? Let me know and I can tone it down 😉

Did I ever mention I suck at trivia?
However, while I don’t know the J.A.G. I do know that Street Legal and L.A Law were developed and produced at the same time. I googled it. 😉

  7. I really enjoy Cold Case, but sometimes the stories can be a bit hard to take. Not as hard as, say, Law & Order: SVU, but heartbreaking all the same. My husband is ready to stop watching after the last child death story, but I’ll stick with it… I like the format, like the characters. Excellent recommendation!
