Okay, I’m kicking apthy and lethargy’s butts to the curb!!

I’ve decided that if I don’t care about whats going on in my life, who will? So, I’m stealing from Beth, and putting on my Game Face. .
I’m going to write every day!
And do something nice for myself Every Day.
And, I’m going to stop staying inside my apartment for four and fiuve days in a row . . . even when I’m on a deadline.

I have a Neo, I can take it tot he library or restaurant and sit in a corner and write…but at least it’ll get me out of the house. I’ll feel human insteead of hermit.

Yesterday I tried to go get a haircut and make myself feel pretty, but Saturday was a bad day to try and do that without an appointment. I hate to make appointments for anything. The only time I let the clock run my life even a little bit is when I’m at work. I like to make sure I get “Last Call” done on time so I can get out of there.

And, On Tuesday nights when Supernatural is on, cuz I LOVE LOVE LOVE that show. :)

This really isn’t the best time for me to feel like doing everything in life as well as writeing, since I have three deadline in the next two months, and uuhmmm I”m a bit behind. But those that know me know I ussually do well under pressure. SOME pressure.

So, in an effort to prevent that from happening, after brunch with a friend today, I’m going to write write write so I don’t go crazy from self pressure next month!

I’m in a wierd mood. I’m not in a funk, I feel pretty good generally speaking. But I do feel I’m struggling to care abotuthings. Very strange. But I don’t care about getting in shape, I don’t care about how clean my house is, I don’t care about being single, and I don’t really care right now about much. Sadly, I’m even struggling to get motivated to write.

I want to be motivated, but it’s not happening. I’m in a rut!

I think it might be the time of year. I also think it’s cuz I haven’t been a real holiday in way too long. I’d love to go somwhere warm for a week. But where to go? I mean it is almost March. maybe I shoudl look into Mexico? I’ve been ther before, but that’s ok. All I really want is a beach. If it was later inthe year I’d go to Vegas. LOL I don’t gamble much, but I love to lay by the pool and drink and flirt with the bartenders.

Any other ideas?

This article is posted on the USA Today news site about the new erotic romance boom. I’m thrilled to see John Scognamiglio’s, (who happens to be my own editor at Kensington,) comments up there. I love how he tells the world that the heroines may have different personalities, but they are all “very take-charge, very in control.”

I think it sums up the modern feel of the stories…and it certainly sums up Lexy, my heroine from my first Aphrodisia story. THE CRIB, will be released in July!

Alison Kent has a post about trends and such in the romance market, and her main question is what about Big Contemporaries,? They used to be the big sellers but with genres like paranormals and fantasy gaining so much popularity, they sort of seemed to disappear for a bit. Does that mean they’re poised for a comback?

I have to say I hope so. One of the reasons being that I think BOUND, my Berkely Heat novel, actually falls into that category as well. Yes, it’s erotic, but at the same time..it’s really about the releationships the heroine has and the things she learns abotuherself along the way. So one of those relationships is based on her sexual desires and fantasies, that’s just ONE of the relationships inthe story. There’s also her nosy neighbor, her best friend, and and of course, her mother. You all know there’s got to be some interesting things in a mother/daughter relationship.

And the fact that Berkley is planning to market it not only as Erotica, but as Mainstream makes me feel pretty damn good. I just hope people will take a chance on it, and be pleasantly surprised when they realize there’s much more to the story than just sex.

~ ANGEL DVD’s I love them, watch them way to often and rewatch them again and again.

~ Tequila. I love it. No idea why. Especially if the bottle has been inthe freezer and the tequila is chilled. YUMMYY!!!

~ Masterbation. Yes, I admit it. I do it, and I enjoy it.

~ Talking to my cat as if she understnds me. It makes me feel better sometimes.

~ Having a lover, not a boyfriend. There are times when being able to call my friend, invite him over, play with him, and still sleep alone and control the remote onthe tv are the best things inthe the world.
