Holiday Stuff

I’ve been real busy this week making some presents for family and friends. Yes, making them, and no, they’re not books. LOL I’m not shy, everyone in my life knows what I write, and everyone is cool with it. Except my Grandmother,  who thinks since I’ve never been married that I have no clue what love is an therefor I couldn’t possible be able to write about love or romance. Point being, no books for my family. I’ve been making treats!

y. So you can see how gift giving can be hard. We’re all adults, and we pretty much buy what we need/want when we need/want it. Somehow though ,my brother seems to always be able to find the perfect gifts. It kills me because all Ican ever think of for him is gift cards and ammo. Okay, for his birthday I got him an ammo kit, and filled it with a bunch of gun cleaning stuff. Sure, he probably has all he needs, but its sort of like toilet paper, right? You can never have too much?

See, my mom, despite being Italian, hates to cook and bake. My dad, likes to eat though, and he’s not a bad cook-as long as he sticks to smokies and burgers. My brother is a single man who works long hard hours for the government. I’ve no doubt when he gets home, cooking isn’t something he always wants to do.(even though he’s apparently good at it.)

So this year, they all get baked goods, and pre-made frozen casseroles as part of their gift packs. As you can see form the pictures, the Dark Choc dipped Mango turned out nice. The Caremel Pretzel sandwiches (dipped in either dark or milk choc) turned out good too.

CWUuVnEWEAAorw7The Choc dipped Peanut Butter Pretzel  sandwiches were a mess. No one is getting them as a gift. I ate them because they were just too much of a mess to make a gift of. I think I mixed the peanut butter part wrong. It was too squishy and whenever I tried to dip them the peanut butter squirted out the holes, and mixed with the melted chock.. then I tried just spooning it on top of the pretzel.  Which worked for me eating them. *ggg*

This is my Pinterest Page, you can see what the recipes should look like in  the Sweet Treats folder. Here’s the Peanut Butter Pretzel ones. LOL

Next week I’m going to make some homemade Mac n’ Cheese, Shepard’s Pie, and a Cheese Broccolli dish. I need one more casserole idea if anyone knows of a good recipe. Something that I can make a day or two before Xmas and freeze, that they can just pull out of their freezer and put into the oven.

Share your links or recipes int he comments. If i make your dish, I’ll send you a free eBook of your choice from my available titles.
