My Heart…

My Heart…

Dear Mr. Sutter,

I have great love for your talent as a storyteller, showrunner, and writer but you tore my heart out. I’ve raved on and on about Sons Of Anarchy this season. Season One was great. You hooked me with it., but Season Two was fantastic.

As far as last nights season 2 finale went… Weston’s death scene was very well done. A great contrast to some of the other guns blazin’ violence. Gemma deserved to get her shot in there, and I cheered her on even when I knew the ATF bitch was gonna see it all. I do wish that Edward had managed to kill Stahl, but the way things went just shows me that your storytelling skill is razor sharp as always. You kept me on the edge of my seat, with my adrenaline going and my heart aching at the same time.

I read the transcripts from an online live chat you and Charlie Hunnam did the other day, and I noticed so many fans asking for more episodes per season. While I understand wanting more, I have to say I’d rather have 13 very packed episodes a season, than 22 watered down ones. Each episode is jam packed with action, emotion, and drama. Each episode kicks ass!

Sons Of Anarchy is gritty, raw, and bad in a very good way. It’s not a glossy show on a huge mega-network with lots of fancy graphics and bright colors. It’s a gutsy one about a small town, and the outlaw MC club that lives there. To say the show is about a motorcycle club wouldn’t be wrong, but it would be incomplete. Like all things great, it’s about so much more than that ā€” family, loyalty, integrity, love, honor, and all the shades of grey that surround those things. It hits me in the head, the gut, and the heart, and I thank you for creating it.

Your fan,
Sasha White
