Beth Williamson got me hooked on The Paradiso Girls song Patron Tequila. (Really, is anyone surprised I LOVE that song? And I’m sure Beth’s playing it for me had nothing to do with the many many batches of Margaritas I made for us girls that week. )
I finally looked up the video for this song tonight, and low and behold, Chelsea from the first Search for the Next Pussycat Doll is in the group. Now, if you watched that show when it was on a couple of years ago, then you’ll recognize her. She should’ve won. I can remember watching the final episode in the hotel room in Houston with Vivi Anna, and both of us thought that Chelsea was robbed when they picked the other girl (what was her name anyway? ) I think this just might be the perfect example of winning by losing. I’m sure Chelsea was heartbroken when she didn’t get picked as the next Pussycat Doll, but really, she;s in a new group that kicks ass. Surf the Paradiso Girls site and check them out. *Warning. The song Patron Tequila plays when you go to the site. I have to say, I like the iTunes version best, as it’s not censored. 😎

Anyways, why am I talking about this song? Because I spent the first week of September (can you believe it’s almost the end of September already? WTF has the year gone?) on a writers retreat with 5 other author/friends, and one of the things we did was compare playlists. Many of us find music inspirational in a variety of ways, and I have to say, comparing playlists with my writer buddies netted me some great new additions to my already eclectic itunes library.

Check these ones out, and if you have any favorite songs you think I would like, post a link to the your tube or website or something in the comments, and I’ll do so. I love music, and find it very inspiring. If the song you suggest inspires a story, I’ll name a character after you. (If you want).

Shayla Black got me hooked on Stereophonics with thier song Drowning. (The video sucks, but if you want to hear the song, youtube is always a good place to get a sample. 🙂

Delilah Devlin introduced me to BODIES by Drowning Pool. (This is a rock song,so be prepared. )
