It’s Friday?

It’s Friday?

Wow, so many holidays and wierd days off in a row, seeing too much of my family – it’s all added up to one big brain-fuck. Yep, it took me a while to figure out what day it was today. 😆

And if that wasn’t enough to get me going, my phone rang and it was this…“Hi, this is Tammy from “Leave Britney alone” and we have a petition we’d like you to sign that encourages the permanent termination of Britney Spears.” CLICK

OK, obviously some kids still not back in school yet are bored. However, it’s not the prank phone call that gets me, it’s the “joke” It’s the term permanent termination. Maybe it’s because I live in a world where friends have been killed by stupidity and bigotry and judgemental people who think that their opinion is more important than another persons right to live the life they want to.

I’m not a huge Britney Spears fan, but I do have a lot of her music on my iTunes. It’s great to work out to, and sometimes to write to (MY PREROGATIVE anyone?). Sure, the woman has made a lot of mistakes, but you know what? So have I, mine just haven’t been broadcast to the world. That prank call, that turn of phrase really bothered me. I just don’t think anyone’s ‘permanent termination’ is something to joke about.

So, anyway, onto more cheerful things… I’m having home made chicken nachos for breakfast.

OH! And While I was ignoring my blog, Vanessa Jaye’s wonderful free read became available from Samhain publishing. Be sure to check out THE WOLF THAT STOLE CHRISTMAS It’s another short one that will have you grinning, and feeling good.

I can’t help but agree with you, Sasha, about the poor wording of that ‘joke’. It’s hard to believe anyone would think that even the idea of the ‘permanent termination’ of anyone is funny.

I hope you enjoyed your chicken nachos!

Glad I’m not the only one that had a big brain fuck going on (really I just wanted to say it – or rather type it even though it’s true…LOL)
You are so right, people need to think about what they say :cursing:
    Chicken nachos – YUM :great:

I soooo know what you mean! I won’t say I saw too much of my family, since I haven’t seen them in years! But, maybe another couple of weeks would have been pushing it, only because me and da’Boy didn’t have our own space, family or not, we were guests. 😛

That phrasing would have bugged the hell out of me also. I’m far from the most PC person around, and yeah, they’re just kids dicking around, but what did Britney ever do to deserve that? 😡

Hmmm… chicken nachos. I haven’t made nachos in awhile, and I tend to use extra, extra lean beef, but chicken strips might work…..

Thanks for the plug for the story, hon. 🙂

I pretty sure I’ve said this already, but Happy New Year and looking forward to seing what you have up your sleeve with the writing!
