Book Excitement

Book Excitement

YAY!! I’m so excited. My box from Amazon.ca arrived!!

I’m refilling my creative well, and spending all my free time reading and catching TV shows. (I just watched the first season of CALIFORNICATION…has anyone watched it? I loved it!)

Anyway, this is my TBR pile, so keep an eye here for my thoughts on them.

First book I’m digging in to…
The Three Novel collection of ROGUE ANGEL: RENAISSANCE

You can see my thoughts on GABRIEL’s HORN and the ROgue Angel series here in my Books I loved post.

I also have GOD OF THUNDER and THE GOLDEN ELEPHANT in the TBR PILE. What can I say, I was late discovering this series, but I LOVE LOVE LOVE it!! I’ve almost got them all now.

In the TBR pile is also ANGEL OF MERCY

I’ve never read Toni Andrews before, but this cover caught my eye, and the blurb hooked me. Anyone else read this, or her first one BEG FOR MERCY.

Also in my TBR pile is the anthology FIRST BLOOD.

I’m so looking forward to that anthology. I’ve enjoyed Chris Marie Green and Meljean Brook in the past, and while I’ve never read Erin McCarthy, I love the woman in person…I just know this antho is going to rock!!

What about you? What are you reading right now?

  1. Oh, those look good Sasha.

I’m a big Rogue Angel fan as well. The one I’m anxiously waiting for is Swordman’s Legacy. Michele Hauf wrote it. And I CANNOT wait to read her take on Annja Creed.

I’m finishing Feast of Fools by Rachel Caine, then I have Cry Wolf by Patricia Briggs. Then I’m off to the bookstore, or I’ll be doing a big order online. I find I like doing big orders, then having like 5 or 6 books to chose from.

  2. Hey Tez, I rememebr that book. I read it when it first came out. I LOve Gena’s work.

Vivi, I’m the same . I liek to order big online and then get the package. I agree about Swordman’s Legacy. It’s on my TBB list, but I thought I’d start at beginning in my catch up phase. ANd I wasn’t aware someone else wrote it. That will make it interesting for sure!!:)

Jordan, I love re-reading faves. Although I’ve never read any Stephanie Laurens. Maybel I’ll check her out.

  3. The Rogue Angels are written by different authors. Every two or three, are written by one author then it changes. Mel Odom is one author I like that writes the RA. He started out the series.

Michele will be writing three of them.

  4. Really? Thats interesting. Where did you find that information Vivi?

I mean, there are already 14 of the books out, and all of them SAY Alex Archer as the author, and I read an interview from when the first one was released, and there was no mention of other authors taking part. It does explain a lot though. ( and I can see, looking at the copyright information that there is thank you to certain names (Mel in a couple of them) for their contributions. But I admit, I’m a bit surprised.

  5. OK, so I looked in all the ten books I have…and 5 are written by Mel Odam. 4 by Victor Milan, and one by someone else. LOL No wonder they all read the same to me!

It’ll be interesting when I read the next one by someone other than Mel or Victor, to see if I notice a difference.

  6. Looks like you’re on a Paranormal tear, Sash. I’ve been reading more straight fiction, YA, contemporary romance, graphic novels, and just yesterday I bought a crap load of M/M books from Loose ID. 😈

As for Californication- I LOVE IT!! I think I missed the first episode of the new season last night/Sunday, though. But it’ll show up on TMN on demand later this week so I’ll catch up. I’m in the midst of playing catch up with Dexter at the mo. Totally agree with you on the reading/watching tv & movies thing. Good medicine for a writer.

  7. Those are new to me. Let us know how you like them. I have read Erin McCarthy–She has a paranormal series started–Seven Deadly Sins-I devoured in one day The Fallen and My Immortal. Great Books!!

Just got your new book–may read tonight..:)
