Spring Cleaning

Spring Cleaning

Okay, so it’s July, I’m a bit slow. It’s been a process for me. But I’ve finally got my place almost perfect. Since I severely cut my hours behind the bar, and am workign from home a lot more with the writing, I wanted to make the place more “mine”. When I bought it almost 4 years ago, it was newly renovated. the show suite actually. SO it’s nice, but very …. normal. You know?

Anyway, now it has personality. MY personality. I’ve put photos up , new curtains, travel bits that I’ve brought home form foreign countries and even my office (second bedroom) is now organized and clean. ready fro me to delve back intoth writing cave when I get back from RWA in Atlanta.

One of the things I di was clean out my bookshelves. 😯

Yes, I only kept the true “Keppers” and I took Two Boxs to the used book store. I aslo picked up some more books while there. LOL Including Into The Fire!! I’m so excited about this. I’ve read JH’s “The Kissing Blades” and “The Deepest Edge” so I know this will be great!!

I also found all threeof Alison Brennans series, THE PREY, THE HUNT, THE KILL, and two of Iris Johanson’s that I’ve not read yet. Yeah, a summer of reading suspense while writing hot and erotic for me!!

What abotu you? What have you got planned to read?

Hi Sasha, just wanted to say love your website & blog enjoy your musings. The books I’ve picked up for this summer is Janet Evanovich’s newest and Tara Janzen’s “Crazy Love”. The whole “Crazy” series is awesome if you love bad boys and classic muscle cars;-)

Of course I’m always looking for new authors that is how I found you.

  2. Hi Kristi!

Glad to have you here. 🙂

I’m a HUGE Janet Evanovich fan.. or maybe I should say huge Stephanie Plum fan since those are the only ones of hers I’ve read. I have them all, and 6 of them in Hardcover.LOL

The Crazy series sounds very intersing..I’ll have to check them out. I love bad boys and muscles cars. All the men in my stories either have hot cars or motorcycles.:inlove:

  3. :inlove:HI Sasha,
This summer I’ve read a couple of “secrets” anthologies, and I’ve also just finished “Bound” I can’t tell you how much I loved it!! Very sexy, and a great mix of love, domination and submission. It does a great job of showing that you can havea normal reationship with Dom/Sub dynamic. Great Work!

  4. I’ve just ordered Alison Brennan’s The Prey. I’ve heard so many great comments about her books. I’m just about to start reading Warprize by Elizabeth Vaughan. Also heard many good things about this book.

Crossing my fingers that I’ll be able to pick up Bound tomorrow, but I’ve got Pure Sex (Thanks again!) sitting at the top of my TBR pile, together MJ Rose’s Lying in Bed and Alison Kent’s Indiscreet. Gee, I think I sense a theme here!

I hope my copies of Bound and Pure Sex arrive very soon. So, reading this for sure next.
I just bought four novels without checking websites of the authors and reading an excerpt – just Amazon blurb and cover. Only one of them was a true winner, Dark Protector by Alexis Morgan, but it was fun just picking some books and be swept away without knowing too much – you know what I mean?
Elizabeth Vaughan’s Warprize is a good read, but was for me not strong enough to read the sequels. I’m just not the right reader for this kind of book anymore, I think. You could say I develop as a reader further. Sounds stupid but feels to me so.
For example, I love Amy J. Fetzer’s new BRAVA series about the men of Dragon One, and I also loved her early Historicals, but today I can’t imagine going back to reading her Historicals again. Does this make sense?

  7. It makes total sense , Frauke. I have all of Dorothy Garlocks historicals onmy keeper shelf. I doubt I’ll ever go back and read them again, yet I can’t bear to part with them since I loved them so much.

Your copies should arrive soon. I hope!
