Scattered

Scattered

My brain has been so scattered lately, and I just don’t know why. Seems it’s gone on vacation without me.

You all remember my delivery driving adventures the other night? :doze:
Well, I went into work last night, and did the stupidist thing ever!! I had a table of two guys, I sat them down, got them drinks. They weren’t ready to order yet so I let them be. One got up and went tothe washroom, and I started talking to the other server. We were talking about work and shift change and crap like that. I saw the guy come back fromt he washroom, and the other one get p and go. Then I walked my co-worker to the frontof the restaurant and we continuted to talk. And I FORGOT about my table!!!:O

I’ve never done that!! I didn’t see the second guy come back from the washroom, and I just forgot about them. I don’t know where my head was, but it only took about 5 mins for them to stand up and walk out. Of course, I was standing at the front talking to my co-worker when they stood up and my jaw just dropped. I couldn’t believe I’d forgotten them. They tried to pay for their drinks (which they hadn’t finished) and I told them no way. I apologised, they just said “No problem, we’ll go somewhere else.” They weren’t angry…if they were I probably could’ve dealt with it, baught their meal or something. But as it was..I was so stunned at my own stupid mistake, and their niceness that I just let them walk out while I banged my head against the counter. 😥

Ten minutes later when my other co-worker came on shift, (first one was gone home by this time, leaving right after the forgotten table.) and she told me that the guy from Sunday night (the delivery credit, that complained about my swearing) called the night before and complained again because his credit was only 50% of Sundays order, and he thought it was supposed to be 50% of their next order!:plain: She said he was really rude too! She said he actually threatened her! Going on about how he knew so many people and he’d tell them all that our place was no good and so on.

Man, he’s lucky I wasn’t managing when he called to say that. He thought I was rude when I wasn’t…he’d really wouldn’t want to deal with me when I AM rude. I do not take well to intimadation or threats.

Anyway, in other, more cheerful, scattered thoughts I’ve been blog hopping already today and found a few things that made me smile so I thought I’d share. :hehe:

Cece has been fiddling with her blog again, and it’s looking good. I have to comment just so I can use the new smilies she has!
Kevin has posted a super cute kitty picture that I think everyone should see. (Just scroll down a little.) AndSarah shares another of her perfect moments with the world.

Happy Day, Everyone!

  1. :hehe:I have had days like that, I wonder how I survive sometimes. Could it be the fact that you are between projects…I am thinking of writing a Zodiac, but it has only gone as far as thinking. 🙁

  2. Oh man, do I know what you’re talking about. It happens. Don’t beat yourself up over it. I remember when I was working at this one place, I had only one customer and I forgot about him hehehehe. I think it’s because you have just a few minutes to breath and let yourself relax for a moment, and you forget. I guess you’ve been very busy lately, chicky.
