Okay, I know I said I wasn’t going to blog again until the new year…but the RT review is out for KINK, and I’ve got to share!!
Look at this!
This is a hot, hot, hot duo of erotic romances. Walker shows a talent for dialogue that is impressive, and her gift for zany storytelling shines through. White’s talent lies in her descriptive storytelling. While both novellas contain well-drawn characters, the plots are hard to believe at times. Both stories are good enough to keep readers interested, and the sex scenes are very well-written, as long as you can stand the heat. Anyone looking for a truly spicy read won’t regret picking up this book.

Okay Folks. I think this will be my last post for this year. The end of the month, end of the year is coming fast, and I want to enjoy it. (plus I have a couple deadlines.*wink*)
This past year has been another amazing one for me. I’ve reached all of the goals I set, (except the weight loss one..but I had to prioritize…and meeting my deadlines came first)
2006 was the year of my first full length novel being publishd. (BOUND) My first Book Signing. I also had an absolute blast at RWA in Altanta, meeting online friends for the first time in person.
The learning curve in 2006 has been about more than writing too. I’ve learned a lot about myself. My wants, needs and desires. I’ve set a couple of private goals for those in 2007 too. I might even share some of the naughty details with you – as well as the nice of course. *grin*
I’m going to start playing with photography more in 2007 as well. In the past, when I thought about photography, it was more scenic in my mind. Like my Travel photos, but now, I’m going to try and work with people. Erotic photography. I have a male friend who has agreed to pose for me, and I’m thinking it won’t be too hard to find others.
I’ve given notice at my bartending job. I’ll still be on the payroll, and have agreed to be “on call” for when they need a filler. Plus I still waitress a couple of lunch shifts at a differnt place, but… I’m planningon really getting in touch with my creative self. Focussing more on writing, and photography. So…it might be a bit of a wild ride. :)
I might have a new website desing to unviel for the new year. My amazing websmistress Frauke of Croco Designs is hard at work. I know, I know, the design you see now is only 7 months or so old…but, the urge was there, and Frauke is such a goddess, I hit her at the right time, and put her to work. The new site is absolutely stunning so far, and a bit different than what you are used to from me, but I do believe it’s time for a change. ANd I plan to keep the new site design for a couple of years.
It’s become clear to me that I’ve been blessed. I’m not sure what I did in a past life, but my family is amazing, and I’ve found some wonderful friends. True friends who are always there for me when I need them, to listen to me rant, whine or shout for joy. Friends that know, in thier hearts, that I’m there for them too – even if we don’t chat constantly.
This past year has really brought this home to me..and I thank all of you, for being part of it.

WHoo hooo!
I got home from a Chistmas Eve dinner with the family and sat down to do some writing. Ofcourse, before I get to writing I check my email..and lo and behold, there’s an email from Alison Tyler, telling me BOUND is number one in erotica sales at Amazon.com!! (and number 5 in romance.)
YAY!
I check the rankings every now and then, but I try not to get hooked on watching them. I’ve seen BOUND at #12 and #3 over the last few months, but never have I caught it at number 1. Yes, I had to take a picture. Check it out!
At number 6 was Secret’s Vol 18 (with my buddy Larissa Ione’s story in it), and other top ten books were Anne Rice’s Beauties Release and Nancy Friday’s My Secret Garden. Both books I’ve been told were awesome!
Also, this pic of GYPSY HEART and BOUND on the romance shelves in a Borders outside of Nashville was sent to me from a wonderful friend. I love it! I’ve yet to see GYPSY HEART in a bookstore up here in Canada, although I know we can order it from Amazon.ca, so it’s heartwarming to see it on a bookstore shelf next to BOUND.
Yay! Merry Christmas to me!!
Tidbit: Alison Tyler is the driving force behind Pretty Things Press. A talented writer and editor, she’s just finished editing a new collection called Got A Minute?, which releases at the end of March from Clies Press, and includes short shorts from myself, Saskia Walker, and Sylvia Day among tons of other talented erotica authors.

So, I did okay witht eh LA Weightloss thing for a while. But I haven;t done a bit since summer. I lost my motivation somehwere and had a hard time finding it. And we all that no matter what it is you’re trying to – lose wieght, write a novel, quit smoking, learn to draw – you won’t accomplish it unless you really want to.
And I haven;t cared enough to try to hard on my health plan for a while. But, I gave myself a kick in the but recently, (It might’ve been the 37th birthday) and I’m back to being me, and caring, and being motivated. And since I’m too embarassed about my size to wear shorts and go back otthe kickboxing gym, I picked up a video to help me feel better, and get moving again. (Yes, I’ve become lazy with this writing gig)

Hey everyone, okay, I been a bit, well , in my own head too much lately, but it’s over. I’m back.
Want to know what’s been happening in my oh so single personal life? Work. Yup, I been bartending and waitressing and trying to make some coin to pay for the lovely gifts I’m determined to buy for my family for christmas. I love my fmaily. They deserve the best.
And I’m almost done my shopping, just one more thing for my Dad, and all is done. I admit though, the most fun was buying for my brother. Mr.sniper of the family. Yup, I got to go the custom gun shop and pick up some stuff for him, and yummy men were everywhere. Well, okay, so there was realy only one yummy man in the shop, the other three were fat farmer/hunters. But man, the one yummy one was very yummy. Why is it I only see Yummy men when I’ve, sweats, no make up, and a baseball cap on? Some day I think I’ll have to visit my brother at work, see if any of his team mates are yummy. Think that would be bad of me?
I’ve been playing a bit too. Well, trying to play a bit. I keep getting stood up. I’ve decided men are only good for one thing. Sex. I never get stood up for that. So for parties and entertainment, I’m happily on my own and am only making booty calls from now on. For a month or two anyway.
