Whooo WHoooo

SW_GypsyHeart72

When I first decided to make the jump from erotica short stories, to romance novels, I didn’t have to think of who my first character was going to be. She’d been living in my mind for as long as i can remember. Probably because her story is pretty much my fantasy. I’m single, I’ve never been in love…and I’m a huge fan of romance. Sable Castle has a lot of me in her…and Gage Dougherty is my fantasy man. A bad boy that is ready to settle down, and is willing to chase the woman he wants…once he realizes she is the one for him.

GYPSY HEART is their story…and as a bartender who’s been a bit of a globetrotter, and a bit of a bad girl…GYPSY HEART is my own fantasy. It went on sale at SAMHAIN TODAY!!!! I hope you’ll check it out.

PS: This is a RE-RELEASE , so for those of you that have reead the original GYPSY HEART from LSB, don’t buy this one thinking it’s different. It has not been expanded or changed, other than a few comma’s and em-dashes, in anay way. :)

FLirt-a- holic

So I went to Calgary on Saturday for Vivi Anna’s Book Launch party. I was late leaving town and arrived just in time to change to go for dinner. Ofcourse, I was in such a rush when I left my place I forgot to grab the hanger ith my blouse on it, so I wasn’t looking quite a good as I’d hoped to.

We went to dinner an I had a couple of Yummy margarita’s. Oh, and a chicken fajita, but yes, those Margarita’s were lovely. The Vivi and her sister wer nice sick enough of my whining to stop at Old Navy for a five minute shopping trip for a new shirt for me. Okay, so not only had I been whining, but I also spilled a bit on my top at dinner. It’s these boobs, they get in the way sometimes.

After the book signing (which went very well. Hi Erin! ) we went to night club. It’s been a while since I been out dancing, and I have to say, I needed a night out. The cute bartender and I got along great. I love to flirt, I like to drink shooters, (and not alone) and I tip very well. Why wouldn’t he love me? Oh, and did I mention that the cleavage increases when I lean over a bar?

We did some dancing, and had some laughs. It was a great night out. PoorVivi, who happens to be a morning person, not a night person. Ended up playing hostess and sitting up chtting with me until 3 when she finally gave in and said it was time for bed. LOL I was still awake, but I decided against driving home because even though I was far from drunk, I did have a few drinks. Better safe than sorry.

I drove home on Sunday afternoon, and was damn excited to find that my stereo was working again. (It’s tempermental) I’m sure there were many many drivers onthe highway between Calgary and Edmonton yesterday that wondered who that crazy chic dancing behind the steering wheel was.

All in all, the night out did me well, physically and mentally. I feel like myself again. I thinkit’s the flirting with real men, and not just my characters thing. As much as I love my hero’s, human contact is so much more. So, new mental rule. Even when hermitting for a deadline, must take at least one night a month to go cut loose!

Another Quiz

Okay, Sorry to do so many quizes in such a short time, but I’m going to Calgary to day to attend Vivi’s Book Launch Party!!! I’ll take pictures. :D

This on is from Steph. Somehow, I’m not surprised by the results.

You Are Midnight

You are more than a little eccentric, and you’re apt to keep very unusual habits.
Whether you’re a nightowl, living in a commune, or taking a vow of silence - you like to experiment with your lifestyle.
Expressing your individuality is important to you, and you often lie awake in bed thinking about the world and your place in it.
You enjoy staying home, but that doesn’t mean you’re a hermit. You also appreciate quality time with family and close friends.

The Moon

Taken from Diana.

Which Tarot Card Are You?

You are the Moon card. Entering the Moon we enter the intuitive and psychic realms. This is the stuff dreams are made on. And like dreams the imagery we find here may inspire us or torment us. Understanding the moon requires looking within. Our own bodily rhythms are echoed in this luminary that circles the earth every month and reflects the sun in its progress. Listening to those rhythms may produce visions and lead you towards insight. The Moon is a force that has legends attached to it. It carries with it both romance and insanity. Moonlight reveals itself as an illusion and it is only those willing to work with the force of dreams that are able to withstand this reflective light. Me Me…ME

I just spent a couple thousand dollars to go on a diet.
If it sounds drastic, that’s because it is. The thing is, in the last couple of years my lifestyle has changed drastically, and I’ve aged, and I’ve had many points in time where I just didn’t care about my health or my weight. I go in spurts, trying to lose, losing, then not caring and gaining. The last two years, the not caring about my eating habit and weight gain has been most prominent when I’m really into a story. I live in my head, and because I live alone, I don’t really come out of it until the story is done.

I’ve always had a bit of an obsessive personality, and it normally works in my favor. When I was into Martial Arts I broke records getting my black belt in Karate, I did well in competitions, (good enough to compete internationally and train for the World Cup, although I admit, I got extremely pissed off one day - it was a long time coming - two months before I was supposed to go to Japan, and quite it all…so I never did compete in the World Cup) . I coached, worked as an instructor, and a personal trainer. I was FIT!!

Peopel are reading THE PETSHANI

Jorrie Spencer has read The Petshani and says it’s “A short, sexy otherworld story with witches, gypsies, and portals…There may be more installments. Which is good. The hero has a complicated background and I’d love to know more.”

YAY!! I wanted people to want more of this story.

Karen from Coffeetime Romance says “Ms. White has written an interesting tale. It is an erotic diversion from the everyday, and a short interlude from the mundane.

It seems people are liking it… even though it’s a Short Story. :) I LOVE writing short stories. Does that make me a tease?

Angel Brewer from JERR says…“The Petshani is an awesome adventure readers won’t be able to put down until it’s finished. Karenna has some issues that she needs to work through before she can find happiness and help the man who torments her dreams. Shandar is sexy and totally heart melting, his courage and sensitivity will make you melt in your chair. The love scenes are wonderfully heated and full of passion. Ms. White has done an excellent job of combining two characters that must come together in order to save an entire race and in the process find an unbelievable love that will rock their worlds. Her flair for vivid characters and creative plots will certainly make this book one that readers will surely enjoy.”

YAY!!! I’m so happy.

HAPPY EASTER

As a treat for you, I’m posting a scene from THE CRIB, my contribution to the PURE SEX anthology from Kensington. Sorry there’s no chocolate involved.

This scene is about 1/4 of the way into the novella, and the first full sex scene with the hero and heroine.

EXCERPT:

PureSex_coverStuffing cash into a small old-style school style pencil case I gave the empty pub a last look-see. Everything was clean and sparkly for the day staff the next morning, and I was more than ready to get out of there.

Heat simmered in my veins at the thought of the night to come. After sticking around for another beer, Devon had left the pub around midnight. He hadn’t come back, but I was pretty sure he’d be waiting outside. It would be too cruel for him to throw out a parting comment like he had, and not to be there when I finished work.

Then again, I didn’t really know him, did I? He could just be that cruel. But I was intrigued enough to not care at this point. He thought we were two of a kind? He thought he knew me well enough to judge something like that? Cocky bastard though he was, I was more than sufficiently enticed.

Striding into the office I tossed the pencil case on Jimmy’s desk. It held just over five hundred dollars in cash and various credit slips. Not bad sales for a Monday night, but not good either.

My heart clenched when Jimmy suppressed a sigh and reached for the bag. For a short time there, I’d actually forgotten the real reason I was back in town.

“How bad is it?” I asked.
