A few months ago some authors auctioned of their critique services to raise money for a friend’s medical bills. I jumped at the chance to have one of my fave authors look at my work, even though I had nothing to show her at the time.
Well, a week or so ago I finally emailed Angela Knight my completed novella, THE DEVIL INSIDE, to read. I love Angela’s books. Her Mercanaries series first got me hooked, and I’ve enjoyed the Mageverse stories. But Jane’s Warlord is still my favorite. I can’t wait until Warfem is released. She’s an author that I think writes fantastic hot and sexy love stories, so her opinion is valued.
I just finished going through the cirtique she sent back, and SHE LIKED IT!!! :hehe: :laugh: :hehe:
In her email she said, and I quote, “The writing is strong, the characterization is well-drawn and likeable– particularly Gina – and the sex is very well done.” :D
And although it was very obvious I still need to work on my grammar skills, (damn those comma’s!:angry: ) and sentence structures, the manuscript also contained comments like …“This is HOT.” and “By the way, you’re doing a really good job of building the conflict. Very skillful here.”

- Don’t worry about the commas, that’s what editors are for. The hard part is STORY, CHARACTER & SEX. If you got those - and Angela said you did - then you got the biggies, the stuff an editor CAN’T fix!
