Heart Mates.

GypsyHeart_medHave you read Gypsy Heart? It was first published by Liquid Silver Books back in 2004. Then By Samhain in 2006. Then I did an Indie release of it at the end of 2013. During all those years I’ve had the story of Miranda and Jake, a couple of secondary characters, in my head. Rogue Heart was published as a short story in The Mammoth Book of Hot Romance in 2011, but I never released it on it’s own after that. Why? Well, you won’t hear me say this often, in fact I don’t think I’ve ever said it before about one of my own short stories, but the story I wrote should not have been a short story. In my mind, that short story wasn’t complete.

I’ve been promising readers that I would complete it, and release it ever since, but I’ve yet to do so because of other commitments. Well, this year I’m doing it. Only I’m doing it as a seriel in my newsletter.

The January Newsletter will go out in 2 days, and it will have the first part of Rogue Heart in it. I don’t know how many parts it will end up being, because the story is not completely written yet, but it will be at least 3.Might only be 3. Might be 4 or 5, but not more than that. Since the newsletter will be monthly, I’ll try not to drag it on for too long. 😉

So, if you haven’t read Gypsy Heart yet, nows a good time. And if you haven’t signed up for my Newsletter, now might be a good time for that as well. 🙂

RogueHeart_med My name is Jake Wolf and I’m the cook at The Zodiac Pub. I live above that pub and want nothing more than to be left alone to live quietly. Which is what I was doing until the owner of the pub, my old friend Tom, died and his niece took over — and turned my life upside down.

At first it was just idle interest, being attracted to her wasn’t a big deal. She’s a good looking lady and any heterosexual man would notice her. Noticing her was fine. Desiring her wasn’t such a good thing, and with it came the craving for things I’d long given up on. I could fight myself, my urges as long as things between us were only a flirtation, but when Miranda made it clear she’d take me any way she could get me, I couldn’t walk away.

Now she wants more than a casual relationship, and my heart has opened for her. The problem is, if I let her know all of me, if I let her see the darkness inside of me and ask her to give me what I need, will this straight laced business woman run stay and give me the gift of physical pain that I crave, or will she run and break my Rogue Heart?

Really like first installment. Can’t wait to read what happens next. I feel like Jake might have some contol issues the way he was begging Mandy to tell him what she wants. Love that! Will u be in Pa for any book signings?
