I’m over at Genreality today. Drop by and tell me if you think the beginning of a story is important, as a writer – and as a reader.
I’m not sure if it’s because I’m getting older, or because the games are in Vancouver this year, but for whatever reason, I have to admit I’m more into watching them than I’ve ever been before. There’s been some amazing things to see, and I’m so glad I’ve been watching.
NBC aired this pre-recorded video clip before the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games with Tom Brokaw explaining the relationship between the US and Canada. I found it when someone linked to it on Twitter, and I wanted to share it with more people. It’s worth watching.
Now if only I could find a clip of the opening ceremony when the whales and salmon were swimming. That was my favorite scene.

One Movie I’m waiting for is THE RUNAWAYS. Not just because I’m a rock fan, and a Joan Jett fan, but because I’m very interested to see the story of The Runaways told. I hope it’s done well, and not just cut up into a ‘hollywood’ version.
