Top Pick!

“Opening a book from Sasha White guarantees a deliciously decadent storyline, and once again, she doesn’t disappoint …”

My Prerogative is the perfect title to explore this intense tale of a naughty woman seeking love, but refusing to settle for the wrong man in her life. We engage with Kelsey as she interacts with people who don’t really “get” her, and we giggle with glee as she meets the man who knows exactly what she needs to find eventual fulfillment…”Ms. White grasped the concept of a woman’s needs and weaved a wonderful tale of realization. My Prerogative is an insightful and thought provoking page turner that I know you’ll enjoy.” “

Excerpt

When I got home late Saturday afternoon I was feeling frisky and ready to shake things up. I’m used to people watching me while I work, a bartender is just as much an entertainer as drink master, and I had plenty of flare experience to keep people watching. But in the past week I’d started looking at any guys in the club that were six feet or taller and wondering if it might be my watcher from across the street.

It was time to introduce myself.

As soon as the sun set that night I flipped all the lights in my apartment on, and began to dance, alone in my living room. Wearing a black button up blouse and a flowing black summer skirt that swayed with my movements I closed my eyes, let myself feel the music, and imagined him sitting right in front of me.

Raising my arms above my head, I started out like a belly dancer. I swayed, I twisted, I swiveled my hips and let my hands run down over my breasts and up my thighs, lifting my skirt and then letting it drop. The music filled my head and flowed through my veins as, with slow deliberate movements I undid each button, one by one. The blouse hung open as I moved, my fingertips trailing over my bare skin, teasing me, teasing him. I’d enjoy giving my watcher a lap dance. Oh yes, I’d make him sit and watch while I moved above him and he couldn’t touch. It would be delicious.

Sweat rose on my skin in the heat and I let the blouse fall from my shoulders to the floor. Still dancing, I let my hands play upon my thighs, lifting and dropping my skirt as I moved — flashing more skin. No, a lap dance would be too crude. I’d want to dress up in some fine lingerie, and do the burlesque routine. The art of the tease is so much sexier than the crude bumping and grinding of modern strippers.

Although crude and raw certainly did have it’s place.

I dropped my skirt so I wore only my electric pink bra and thong set. Reacting to the change of music, I gave up the sensual tease and did some bumping and grinding against an imaginary lover until the urge to strip completely and dig out my toys was throbbing through my system. Then I opened my eyes and looked beyond my balcony and directly across the street.

He was there.

Without hesitation I spun on my heel and picked up the piece of cardboard I’d written on earlier … and held it up for him to read.

555-6541

Excitement ripped through Harlan. She was giving him her phone number.

He set his camera down and stepped back from the window. The question is … why?

He glanced around the loft, seeing the images of her he’d already worked on. Should he call her? His gut clenched and he remembered the way she’d looked standing out on her balcony, lost and alone. There was no should or shouldn’t to it. He couldn’t not call her.

Lifting the camera he zoomed in and re-read the number. Where the hell was his phone? His worktable was a mess. It was an organized chaos though and he knew the phone was on there somewhere. He just wasn’t sure exactly where.

Muttering the numbers over and over he shuffled some paint tubes and brushes around, pushed aside an old canvas and finally found the phone beneath a dirty cloth that stunk of turpentine.

He punched the numbers into the phone and arrived back at the window in time to see her answer.

“You’ve been watching me,” she said. And it wasn’t a question.

“Yes.”

“Why?”

Did he even know why? Sure, she’d been the muse that got him painting again, but it was more than that. He’d always been a people watcher, but he’d never taken it to this level before. He’d never spied on anyone.

“You’re beautiful,” he said simply.

“It’s more than that, isn’t it?”

She knew. This woman who was so innately sexual somehow knew that there was more to his watching her than just a quick thrill. Did she feel the connection between them?

First Review

I got the first review for MY PREROGATIVE today! It comes from JERR.

My Prerogative is an extremely well written book about a real woman, in my opinion. I would hug Ms. White if I could because I was so happy to read a story about a woman who is able to enjoy her sexual freedom and not be ashamed of it. Kelsey loves sex; she enjoys different scenes, men, and places. There was a lot of sex and men in this story but all were tastefully written and, best of all, hot and steamy! There was sex on the beach, the restaurant, the apartment and with toys. Oh my! There was some bondage play, submissive and mistress, spanking (hand and strap), voyeurism, and yummy straight sex. The storyline was very well written with secondary characters playing a key role in the story. The man for Kelsey, Harlan was well described and didn’t overshadow her. Ms. White created a story that I could relate to and I felt really good about Kelsey’s insight to what was missing in her life. I recommend My Prerogative to anyone who loves a strong female character and lots of sex.”

The release date for this book is September 2nd but MY PREROGATIVE is up for PRE-ORDER at Amazon.com at a 20% discount.

I also learned fellow author, and friend Saskia Walker had something to say about WICKED, and me as an author, today. Yes, she’s a friend, but I know Saskia doesn’t say things she doesn’t mean, so I am thrilled at what she had to say on her blog after reading my latest release. Meandros

Uplifting, sensually explicit and life changing, MEANDROS will satisfy any reader while tempting their senses… Encompassing heartbreak with a “can do” attitude this story will appeal to many and make readers believe that even though life goes on, the people that have made your life remarkable will never be forgotten. Go out and get this book because you will not be disappointed.” ~ Sheryl, eCataromance

Meandros was a book that won me a spot with Amber Quill publishing and got me rave reviews from many places, and some very touching emails from readers. The story was written almost 4 years ago, and hasn’t been available to the public for over a year now. I’ll be putting it up on my site as a free read next week, and wanted to show you the cover I MADE!

I know it’s not as professional as some, but I like it. So, here’s a look at what’s coming soon as a free download.

Meandros

When Tammi, a professional dancer, was injured in a car accident she thought her life was over. But then Tom, a handsome and sexy man entered her life, and refused to let her curl up and die physically, or emotionally. He taught her to find the passion of life again. He also taught her to live, and to love with her whole heart.

But when tragedy strikes again, and she loses him, will she give up on happiness and passion again? Or will she realize that the only way to honor the love of her life is to celebrate what he taught her?

After reading this book, you’ll want to stand right up and cheer for MEANDROS!”
Recommended Read – Wendi, Fallen Angel Reviews

Wow! MEANDROS is a beyond doubt a remarkable read. This very short story is overflowing with such powerful emotion. Readers, I would advise keeping a few tissues handy as you read Tammi’s story for it is a real tearjerker. I truly felt Tammi’s happiness and pain as she reminisces about her life with Tom. I am honored to bestow MEANDROS 5 glorious Angels and a Recommended Read!” ~Reviewed by Contessa

“Count on Sasha White to deliver first-rate blistering passion and tug on your heart strings at the same time. MEANDROS is soul-grabbing, richly evocative, and unforgettable! A true keeper!” ~Suzanne McMinn, author of The Beast Within

“This is an extremely touching story with great emotional depth… MEANDROS is most definitely a keeper!”~ Susan, Coffee Time Romance

“MEANDROS is a story that is simultaneously poignant and uplifting. This book will pull at your heartstrings but it will also give you a glimmer of hope that there is a second chance to love again… This is an evocative tale that demonstrates the power of love and a very sensual and sizzling story between the two main characters… The reader is left with a very uplifting and positive feeling and this in turn makes MEANDROS an unforgettable book that I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend for an inspiring but also romantically erotic read.” ~Aggie Tsirikas, Just Erotic Romance Reviews

Readers Speak

I can’t remember who’s blog I saw this on, but someome was posting the 1 Star reviews of thier books, and since I’d started the “Readers Speak” thing a while ago, I figured Hey, why not. My books get great reviews, and I Love it. But to be fair, there are sometimes ones that make me go “whoa.”

So, here are my 1 star reviews from Amazon.

For WICKED:

“I was really excited to purchase this book from all its raved reviews. Only to be dissapointed with it once i recieved it. I mean at first i thought it was going be a quite steamy book with its prologue. But into the first chapter…just terrible. It really felt like someone carelessly, inexpreincely written it. The beginning was filled with too many repeats. With the character repeating lines from the other with expressing their mental thoughts. The female main character said ‘oh, yeah’ or ‘oh,yes’ so many times i wanted to shred the book. It wasn’t humourous, the dialogue wasnt smooth but choppy. There weren’t enough fluff or flow to the story and then to have meaningless scenes in the story just to tie us with characters from previous books or a hint of another. i thought she could’ve done a better job with the story line, i was hoping for more substance. And it end up being predictable and unoriginal… It had good ideas, like the scene were the main characters take a shower together, the meaning of the scene anyways…but White’s erotic scenes would either be done short and poorly or laid out and not enough detail. Save yourself the trouble, DONT waste your money on this one. Do buy Broken from Megan Hart, she written an absolutely tremediously heartwarming tale…”

No, I did not mess with the review. It was copied and pasted exactly as it was on Amazon, spelling errors, typos, and refrences to other authors as they were. And I actually have to Thank this reviewer, because of this review Megan Hart and I had a good starting point to chat about when we met in New York, and I now consider her a good friend. The woman rocks!

FOR TROUBLE:

Kelly said: I am an avid reader of erotic books, but for me to find one enjoyable, I prefer a good story along with the steamy sex. This book had no story to speak of, but what was worse, the characters were awful, and not developed. I didn’t care if they were together or not. Believe it or not the writing was worse than everything I mentioned above. The sex scenes were forced between two characters we cared nothing about. I only got in the first 100 pages, as that was all I could stomach. Spend your hard earned cash on something else.

J.Freedman Said:
“Am I the only person who couldn’t take this book seriously? I’m all for erotica books that have hot sex scenes and not much plot or character development to speak of (after all, who reads erotica for a plot?)… but this was just ridiculous. I can’t take this book seriously because the writing is just so cheesy and awful.”

Ouch! After many great reviews, those 2 One Star ones for Trouble were posted within a week of each other, just recently. But…There were no one star reviews for BOUND, and I’ll do the kensington books another day. I have to admit, I checked on SEXY DEVIL today though, and there were no one star reviews there either.

And too make it even more apparent that reading, and reviews, are all subjective, I figured nows a good time to announce that TROUBLE is a finalist in the MORE THAN MAGIC contest. A Reader Judged contest.

I found this review a while ago and never shared. Thought I’d just remind you all that the book is out there. Y’know, in case you haven’t bought it yet. *grin*

wickedTitle: Wicked
Author: Sasha White
Reviewer: Claudia Orpik
Rating: 5 Stars
Heat level: O

Karl Dawson is a very successful attorney by day. At night, he frequents The Dungeon, an underground BDSM establishment, where he lacks for nothing, having subs throw themselves at his feet. One day at work, he spies a lovely piece of humanity working under his desk. Lara comes up for air and challenges his prowess. She tells him she’s “willing to do anything once”. What will her reaction be when Karl tells her he’s a Dom and he’s ready to take her for the ride of her life? Will Karl exchange his playboy ways and establish an exclusive relationship with Lara?

My first thought after reading Wicked was to immediately rush to the nearest bookseller and buy the others in this series. Karl feels that deep down, Lara is a natural-born submissive. He takes her on a journey to discover her inner self. This journey takes them to unsuspected heights, exploring not only sexual but emotional boundaries. Karl is the perfect Dom as he takes over the sexual reins, giving Lara what he feels she needs, often leaving her wanting. Ms. White is the mistress of sexual tension; I often felt like Lara- sexually frustrated! Although Lara gives up sexual control, she definitely stands her ground outside of their lovemaking. Karl has definitely met his match with Lara. She’s such a wickedly, loveable, daring heroine, willing to try anything, even participating in a sex act with another woman. As an added treat, Ms. White brilliantly incorporates another couple’s story into Wicked. Peter and Graham are Lara’s self-appointed protectors. They know all about bad boy Karl, and are determined that Lara will not suffer from a broken heart. I absolutely adored this committed gay couple who suffered from growing pains. I am new to Ms. White’s writing but not for long. Damn you, Ms. White, you have compelled me to read more books by you!

Thank You, Claudia. I hope you enjoy them ALL!*grin*

5 Blue Ribbons

SW_SecretThoughts_E72Secret Thoughts: Erotique is packed with story after story written by these six authors, each with a unique feel and wonderfully layered approach to the art of writing erotica. I believe there is a distinct difference between that which is pornographic and that which is erotic, and these six writers accomplish that beautifully. This is a must have piece of work for anyone who is a serious reader and collector of erotica.” ~ www.lazygeisha.com

When the first Secret Thoughts Collection was released, not many places were intersted in reviewing it. Mrs.Giggles did, and so did Lazy Giesha, (to read the Lazy Geisha review click here, it is a PDF file) but that was about it. This morning, a review from Romance Junkies for the second Secret Thoughts collection arrived in my inbox…and can I just say YAY!!!

cover_with_date_by_darkfedoraThe Secret Thoughts collections are special to me. They were birthed from my free online magazine of the same name. ST used to be a monthly magazine with covers, book features and reviews as wellas free reads and editorial columns. I had a blast with it, but it became a bit too much for me to handle with my writing and working as well, so I ended it. And when I ended it I approached Samhain owner Crissy Brashear witht the idea of doing the straight erotica collections as eBook anthologies.

Crissy is a smart women, and not afraid to try new things, so she let me go to it. I called up some of the authors I know who enjoy writing erotica, and short, and we were off.

And I’m thrilled to announce that not only have the eBook collections been received very well, but Erotique and Lustful will be combined into one, and release in print format! The Release date for Secret Thoughts print novel is set for October 28, 2008.

Now, check out what Amanda from Romance Junkies has to say about the short stories in Lustful .

Secret Thoughts II: Lustful
By: Sasha White, Laura Bacchi, S. Desires, J.J. Massa and Beth Williamson
5 Blue Ribbons

STLustful300SNIPPET: Join a group of the world’s best erotica authors as they bring everyone’s fantasies to life in this titillating collection. Reader’s will never be the same after reading this anthology and will be looking to find some sexual relief!

The Cable Guy by Beth Williamson
THE CABLE GUY was so much fun! I loved the age difference aspect to it. It made me realize that sometimes an older woman can still snag that young, sexy guy.

Man Ho by Laura Bacchi
MAN HO is exquisite. This is my first story by Laura Bacchi but it definitely isn’t going to be my last!

Connection by Sasha White
CONNECTION, by Sasha White, is titillating, exotic and so damn erotic it made my teeth sweat!

Shadows Blending by S. Desires
I loved the feel of two strangers meeting for the first time just to experience anonymous pleasure. This was a very original road to take for an erotica story and my mouth was watering from beginning to end.

The Bridge by J.J. Massa
Sex in public has never been so exotic. THE BRIDGE by J.J. Massa truly made me tingle in all the right places. I’m a big fan of J.J. Massa’s and I think this is probably my favorite story ever!

Teasing the Senses by S. Desires
TEASING THE SENSES is exquisite. This is truly a story of undeniable passion between two lovers. The senses are awakened and sex takes on a whole new meaning for both the characters and the reader. I really love the anonymity of S. Desires characters. I am not any less drawn into the story because of it. In fact, I find myself more absorbed by the actual storyline. This was a very passionate story and I think it will definitely tease the reader’s senses!

Double Trouble by Laura Bacchi
DOUBLE TROUBLE by Laura Bacchi was smokin’ hot! I was unable to tear my eyes away from the pages for even a heartbeat. I honestly think this was the most sinfully delicious story I have ever read. I never knew sex with twins could be so arousing. There is an air of danger throughout this story too. Mindy is on the run from something and the twins have something up their sleeve. All that can wait though, until the sex is done!

After Class by J.J. Massa
AFTER CLASS is exquisite! We’ve all fantasized about a hot teacher at one time or another. J.J. Massa takes it one step further and makes it a reality. Only this time, it’s not your regular male on female fantasy— it’s male on male. This was such a wonderful treat! I loved the titillating details during this story. I actually felt like I was a fly on the wall in the office. If you love male on male action, definitely read AFTER CLASS. It is erotica at its best!

The Wedding Gift by Beth Williamson
THE WEDDING GIFT by Beth Williamson was great fun! I really enjoyed the fact that Veronica just got to stand there while some strange man went down on her. I think this is every woman’s fantasy…to just have a man do all the work while we just enjoy it. I know it never really happens, but heck, that’s why it’s a fantasy right?

Private Pleasure by Sasha White
This was a very passionate story. Although no names are mentioned, I felt completely connected to both characters. The master, a man who knows just what his sub needs, really made me realize the pleasure in this kind of sex play. The sub, a woman whose passion craves her master’s touch, will give up her heart to him just to get what she needs. Although nothing is actually said straight out about a happily ever after, I truly could feel the connection between these two. This is definitely a couple who belongs together! PRIVATE PLEASURE is a look into a BD/SM couple and all their glory together.

Everything about SECRET THOUGHTS II: LUSTFUL is exquisite. Combined with realistic fantasies and the writings of today’s hottest erotica authors, this was a collection I could not put down! I was immersed from the very first story and there wasn’t a single drawback to any of them. The characters and situations were completely believable, the sex was fantastic and each story left me feeling like everyone was happy! How much better can a collection of erotic stories get? This is, without a doubt, a collection of stories I’m going to re-read over and over again!

Primal Male

PRIMAL MALE is the sequel to SEXY DEVIL, and will be released in December. It’s Drake’s story.

I promised you a sneak peek, so here is the first time he meets Melissa, the heroine of the story. What do you think?

She watched from her bedroom window as the stranger walked the main street of Chadwick. It was almost four in the morning and the pitch black night made him look so … alone. It was more than the darkness and the quiet of the night that made him seem so. It was something about him. Melissa got the sense that even in the middle of a crowd, that man was alone.
He’d arrived about tweleve hours earlier, late in the afternoon, and word of his arrival had spread faster than wildfire. Such as things are in small towns.
Erin Rainier, her best friend since childhood, worked the front desk at the hotel down the street. And not five minutes after the stranger had checked in, she’d called Melissa, raving about how hot and sexy and mysterious the guy was.
Hot and sexy was good – Melissa could use some hot and sexy in her life that wasn’t self induced. Mysterious – not so much. Mysterious made her uneasy. Especially since he was prowling the empty streets in the middle of the night.
The closer he got closer to the bookstore her apartment was over the more on edge she grew.
There was a rythym to his gait and the way he was constantly searching his surroundings that put her on edge. Smooth and relaxed, yet with a sharp awareness that radiated off the man as his head swung from side to side as if he were searching… or hunting.
Her heart jackhammered in her chest. Melissa Montrose was not fond of hunters.
Suddenly, his head snapped back and his gaze went unerringly to her window. She froze. The room was dark behind her, and with the sheer curtain in front of her, as long as she didn’t move, he wouldn’t be able to see her from the street.
But she saw him, and her disquiet took on a new edge. Her nipples hardened and her insides quivered. The sexual appeal of a fling with a dangerous stranger was not lost on her. In fact, it appealed to her more daring side.

* * *

Melissa wasn’t sure what to think when the stranger walked into her bookstore later that morning. In fact, when she looked up at him, her mind went completely blank as her hormones kicked into high gear.
He was big. Not just tall, but big, and built.
At five foot five inches she was no shrinking violet, but he had to be at least a foot taller than her. And when he unzipped his Gore-Tex jacket, saliva pooled in her mouth at the true breadth of the mans shoulders. She wanted to curl up at his side, under his arm, and run her hands over the muscled chest and flat abs. Her gaze traveled down, over said stomach and below the belt. Black cargo style pants that were a bit loose, but fitted enough for her see he was probably built there as well.
She raised her gaze again and found him watching her check him out. Intense blue eyes met hers and she reminded herself that he could be- he was dangerous. Intellectually she knew it, even if her first instinct wasn’t to run.
Book-marm she might be, shy she was not. And she knew one way to get answers was to ask questions — in the right way.
“Well, hel-lo,” she said, keeping her voice light and her smile warm. “You’re new in town.”
“Just visiting.”
The deep rumble of his voice sent a frission of delight down her spine, and Mel bit the inside of her cheek. Stay on track, she chided herself. “Winters tend to isolate us up here in the mountains. We don’t get many visitors this time of year.”
“I like isolation.”
She tilted her head, eyes narrowing on him. “You don’t talk much, do you?”
One corner of his mouth lifted in a half smile. “Words are often over rated.”
Ain’t that the truth. As nice as his voice was, it was the heat in his gaze that set her heart to pounding and her pussy to throbbing.
“That’s the wrong thing to say if you’re trying to get on the good side of a bookstore owner.”
He couldn’t resist. “Who said I was trying to get on your good side?”
“You should be.” She flashed him a sultry smile before tossing her next words over her shoulder as she stepped behind the sales counter. “My good side is a lot of fun.”
Oh, I bet it is, Drake thought to himself. He was still trying to cool down his system from the going over she’d given him when he walked in. Her gaze had traveled down and up his body, taking her time as she’d inspected him in a way that had made his blood hot and his mind slow.
Once behind the counter she turned and quirked an eyebrow at him. “What can I do for you?”
Lust ripped through him at her offer. And it was an offer, the spark in her eye and the hard points of her nipples poking against her shirt made it clear that she was feeling the pull between them as well. If he let down his shields now her arousal would fill his senses and he be bending her over that sales counter within seconds.
