Help!

Okay, any of you Canadians out there get HBO? Im sure some do, I’m just someone who hasn’t even had cable TV for years and years…however, I’m interested in doing what I need to do to get HBO simple because they are making the Sookie Stackhouse books into a tv series.

TRUE BLOOD looks so good, and I love the books, so I really want to be able to watch this. Help a girl out so that when I call the cable company, (Or whoever I need to) that I don’t sounds like a complete idiot. SI this Cable? Or Dish, or what?? How do I get HBO?

Check out this trailer and tell me it’s not worth getting cable for.

Keep an eye on TMN. For the most part, a lot of the big HBO and Showtime shows end up there within a few days of the US release (as in, stay away from spoilers, because if the US sees it on a Wednesday, we’ll likely get it on Sunday).

Yep, according to their site: http://www.themovienetwork.ca/ we get True Blood starting on September 7th. Woohoo! :)

    Thanks GG!

Okay, so I should be able to get TMN with the cable company (SHaw)? I can just phone in and order it right?
I don’t even have basic cable right now. I found I was spending too much time just sitting there and zoning out, even when there was nothing on I wanted to watch, so I got rid of it. lol

Yep, Rogers, Bell, Shaw, any cable provider should offer the Movie Network.

I wish I had your will power. We get every possible cable channel and watch wayyyy too much tv. :)

I was going to see if I could get it on demand since we have cable already but I seriously need to just subscribe so I don’t miss it. I had a nerdgasm watching the trailer. WHEEEE

Lauren…I knwo it can vary but (at least here) if you subscribe to HBO, you can watch it on On Demand–they like put all their series on there. I have to call and order HBO–we already have cable *sigh* and tons of channels I don’t watch.

Also hit blockbuster last night. They’re renting the first episode for free–I watched. It rocks
