A keeper

When I was young, as in before I even hit 13, I was reading romance along with my Archie’s comics. When the very first Harlequin Blaze hit the stores, I bought it. I won’t tell you how old I was the first time I read a Penthouse Forum. Needless to say, I was in heaven when I discovered erotica. I mean real erotica. Like Clies Press and Black Lace put out. The novels are okay, but what I really liked, and still like, are the short story collections.

Short and erotic. Not always extremely sexual (which I know some people find hard to understand) but always highly erotic. When I decided to write, it was suggested that I try my hand at erotica because that was one of my favorite genres to read. I started out writing short stories, and was honored to be in collections with authors like Alison Tyler, Saskia Walker, Portia DeCosta.

When big New York Publishers started publishing erotic lines, and I discovered Saskia Walker and I had not only the same agent, but also the same publisher, I proposed an anthology together. That was how KINK came about, and I am now honored to be able to claim Saskia as a friend.

Now, being my friend does not automatically make me love your writing, or want to pimp your books. My friends know this. But if I love what you write, I’m thrilled to support and pimp all I can. As it is, I loved Saskia’s writing before we were friends, so this is not trouble at all.

What am I getting at? Her newest release RECKLESS of course.

RECKLESS is so much more than the blurb on the back of the book hints at. The story is not an uncommon one. A young woman feeling the need to break free of the too-comfortable life and settled existence she maintains and explore life, and her sexuality.

But Reckless is so much more than that. Set in Spain, Saskia draws a vivid picture of all the characters involved, and their surroundings for the reader. As a reader I was quickly intrigued, drawn into the mystery and the attraction of the Teodoro men right along with Katrina. I knew who the “˜right’ man was, and yet, I couldn’t help but want Katrina to explore just a bit more of her dark side with the “˜wrong’ one. *blush* But that’s me. I think if I were Katrina, I’d have maybe made a bad mistake. LOL And that is one of the great draws of the story, I couldn’t help but want to be in Katrina’s position. And I bet when you read it, you’ll wish you were too.

Reckless contains so much more than the hot sex and erotic atmosphere Saskia is known for. It has danger, intrigue, and romance, making it a delicious read that you should not miss!

“Arousing, enigmatic and gripping, RECKLESS is on my “˜highly recommended’ list. If a dark romance with many suspenseful, surprising, and erotic moments is what you crave, then RECKLESS is the book for you!” ~ Romance Junkies
