Here in GA we had snow twice in one week!! A freakin' weather Phenomenon that I, GulfCoastPrincess that I am, have never seen in all my fortymmmmph years of life! Of course my boys were outside in it all day long, while I ate. Made coffee. Ate. Fixed hot chocolate. Pretended to bake cookies but actually ate half of the raw dough. Went downstairs to say hello to the treadmill, then curled up in the papasan chair with a book. You couldn't drag me out in that cold for love or money. Sex with Karl or Val, but not love or money!!! I have seen cars in Indiana (passed through) plugged in. I have seen solid ice on roofs and windows. Think I'll stay here down south & visit up there in the summer :cool: : :wink: :wink: I don’t know how ya’ll up north do it, living through minus degrees ! yuk!

I mean, if you were canadian and you said that, I'd know you were mocking. LOL But I've travelled to a lot of places where people didn't believe me that it got cold enough we had to plug our cars in. PLus, you'd never know it to look at the cars, they're exactly like any other one, except the plug, which is hidden under the hood until we pull it out. You know, on our new diesels we're now putting this...thingey, lol, for lack of a better word, that insulates the radiator...it's supposed to make them warm up much quicker, and hold the warmth in much longer. No, I don’t have an electric car. What I (an all Canadians) do have is what’s called a block heater under the hood of my car. The heater sits next to the engine block and has a cord that hangs out front by the radiator. When it’s really cold, we plug that in, and the heater keeps the engine from freezing, because the car won’t start when the engine is frozen.
