SO, anyone who knows me knows I am not a morning person. It doesn’t matter if I’ve been up all day doing whatever, when 8 PM rolls around I become awake. Likewise, Even if I’ve slept all night, I can not be awake at 8 AM. I’m like a vampire who dies when the sun comes up..only for me, it’s between 730 and 8 AM.

I blame years of night shift work…and to be honest, I like being a night person. It’s a whole other world after dark. Anyway, the point of this story is to say that Last Saturday night I went to bed at 4AM then woke up at 6 because my brain was going full speed. So I got up and did some work until 8. At 8 I was dead, so I went back to bed, and was just falling asleep when someone hammered on my door. Yes , hammered.

I thought the building was on fire or something and stumbled to the door, eyes struggling to open as I pulled my robe around me and tried not to step on Scarlet, (who loves to get out and run amok in the building). I leaned in to peek around the door at the same time I opened it, and my face connected with the little brass bar that extends half an inch beyond the frame as a lock - which I obviously didn’t notice with my eyes only half open. (Instead of a security chain I have the solid bar thingy) . The result…me swearing a blue streak, and a bit of a black eye.

This pic is a couple days after it happened. Doesn’t it look great? I had many customers at the bar thinking I got drunk and really rowdy on New Years, but that is not what happend. Geez, you’d think I have a reputation or something.

LOL Thanks for the compliment on my hair. I kept getting it cut short er and shorter all summer, and I’m finally letting it grow again..which means curls are emerging again.

I should probably update the pic on my Bio and stuff since I got it all chopped off, huh? Best wait until the black eye fades completely for that though.

I’m such a morning person! At night I get all kinds of cranky and say stupid things. Like if you see a more extreme post from me at Naughty and Spice, I wrote it late at night! LOL.

Oh, poor Sasha….that looks painful. So did you KILL whoever was pounding on that door?? ‘Cuz I’m a night person just like you~~working that night shift for years~~and I admit to baring my fangs when people pound on my door or doorbell before 1p.m. And being the klutz I am, I can so see what happened, and almost feel it. You poor baby!!
