I took Scarlet to the vet yesterday to get her spayed. It was a must- do thing but I feel so bad for her!
The first thing she did when we got home was run and hide under my bed. Not just under it, but up under it. There was a tear in the muslin that layers the bottom of the boxspring, and she climbed inside it and stayed there for more than 6 hours. WHen I got out of bed this morning she was laying on her blanket in the other room, but then after eating, she went back under the bed.
She just came out again, and I gave her some canned food. Yummy treats to make her feel better. And now she’s sitting on the floor next to me, but she’s not too interested in being petted. LOL
I hope she feels better soon.

Poor Scarlet, that was good for her though. My Puddy had a thing for under the box spring too. I guess they feel more secure under there cause its a small space. The only way to keep them from goin under there is to take the whole frame off and put the matress and box spring on the floor. Then they’ll hide in a closet. How is Mystrey gettin along with her now?

Hugs!! I cried when I got my dogs done…but it’s for the best. I tried to breed my babies…but then I wound up keeping two of the puppies because I couldn’t let anyone have them. So it was best for me, for sure!!
Ah, poor baby. It’s so hard to do something you know is going to hurt them, but you have to do to keep them safe.

As an animal rescuer, thank you for getting your pet fixed! 75% of cats born are put to sleep due to lack of homes and the number for dogs is just as staggering.
