Scarlet arrives

Scarlet

I’ve adopted a new cat.

Yep, my first cat, Mystery, was one I was watching for a friend three years ago, and the friend never came back. So she’s mine. I’ve never been a real cat person. I grew up with dogs, and I love dogs. But I couldn’t just get rid of the cat…and after a small adjustment period, I fell in love.

Well, my mom wanted to go to the pet store the other day, and in the back of the pet store is an adoption shelter for cats and dogs…and I saw this gorgeous grey cat and fell in love. Her name is Scarlet, and I left that day hoping someone would adopt her, but not me, cuz there are times I don’t even want the cat I have! Anyway, this cat stayed in my head. She’s a year and half old, so chances of her getting adopted were pretty slim. Tonight I just worked a short dinner shift, so when it was over I went over to the store and Scarlet was still there.

Now Scarlet is in my extra bedroom, with the door closed getting used to her new home. Mystery is parked right outside that door, guarding the rest of the house from the intruder.

So this week will be a bit …uhmmm…. interesting around here. Wish us luck!

PS: I’ll post pictures later

I think she still looks like a kitten, don’t you? They said she was a year and a half, and she’s had babies.

LUSTFUL excerpt

You’ve got AN EXCERPT from Me and AN EXCERPT from Beth. Now here’s one from Laura Bacchi.

DOUBLE TROUBLE

I spotted them immediately. Well, almost immediately. In this smoky dump of a bar, I first thought it was just one guy, one good-looking guy sitting next to a mirror on the wall. After I got my beer from the bartender, I headed their way not quite believing my luck. Me horny. Them twins. I didn’t get horny much these days—the traveling takes a lot out of me and ever since I turned thirty-seven the libido’s been down the toilet, flushed away like the marriage license I tore up into tiny pieces the year before. Since Brad left, with all our money and then some, I’ve made it my mission to avoid men all together. Hell, I’d even tossed my vibrator in the trash and kept my fantasies confined to things like million-dollar shopping sprees, slender thighs without having to work out, a home of my own again, that kind of stuff.

Except for twins. And, trust me, hot male identical twins were hard to find. Last month when I buzzed through Phoenix, the hotel next to mine was hosting a national twin convention. Lots of kids and families, twins marrying twins, that type of thing. A bunch of fraternals, too. No thrill there—in my mind, screwing fraternals was just like doing it with any ordinary guy and his brother. I wanted the real thing: Two gorgeous men with the same eyes and hands, matching haircuts, mirror-image cocks…

I’m not sure how this particular obsession got started. Maybe I got off on the idea of twins because I was a Gemini, or perhaps it was the salt and pepper shakers my mom collected when I was a kid. Rows and rows of matching faces, the only difference being the number of holes on top and whether they were marked with an s or a p. “Look but don’t touch,” she’d say.

Tonight I planned to do both.

I set my tallneck on their table. “Hi, guys.”

They were already staring. In a good way. Two sets of deep brown eyes trailed over the low neckline of my sweater then down to my black leather miniskirt—and I do mean mini. Stilettos, no stockings. And, as they’d find out soon enough, no panties to get in their way. My intuition had been dead-on back at the hotel; I knew I’d get fucked and hopefully sucked while returning the favor in some kind of ménage à Mindy. I just didn’t know my dreams were set to come true for the whole enchilada—no closing my eyes while imagining the two men doing me were a perfectly matched pair, no keeping my hands to myself for fear of feeling out the differences.

They didn’t say a word as they stood. I started to lose my nerve. Would I be disappointed once I got my wish? My feet shifted on the beat-up hardwood floor as my teeth found my lip. I nibbled. They smiled.

I held out my hand and yelled my name over the twang of crappy music playing on the speakers overhead. “Mindy,” I told them. “Care to show an out-of-towner a good time?”

The one on the left smiled. He nudged his brother. “See if Jim’ll let us use the private room.”

I liked the sound of that. While he went for an answer, I took a good look at the one left behind. He was big but not too bulky–muscles in all the right places, a waist I could wrap my
legs around as we fucked… I’d hook ‘em there tight and hold on for the ride. And he had
shoulders made for squeezing while he pumped into me hard. My cunt tensed in anticipation.

“You play pool?” he asked.

“I do tonight.”

His smile, now wide and wicked, told me he knew I was game. And not just for pool.

The other brother—Zack, I soon learned—passed us and unlocked a door by the juke box. We followed him in, Zeke and I, and I had to stifle a giggle at the names. Zack locked the door and grabbed a pool stick. Zeke did the same.

“Why don’t you rack up the balls, babe?”

Zack—or was it Zeke?—handed me the rack and I bent down to retrieve the balls. A long, low whistle left both their lips when I did. Then I felt the sticks, feather-light and climbing, go up my thighs higher and higher until the part of my ass covered by the skirt became visible to their eyes. I leaned onto the soft green felt and spread my legs.

**** Author Laura says “Yeah, they don’t actually play much pool after that ;) If you like erotica (this antho includes “…explicit sex, graphic language, sex in public places, ménage a troi, hot nekkid man love, and BDSM”), then you may want to check out Lustful Thoughts.

Not Sexy

OKay, is it just me who thinks that men should not have their belly button’s pierced? Something about it just turns me off.

Pierced nipples on the other hand, make me want to play.

I tried to make the pictures go side by side, but I’m not techie smart enough to do it. Maybe you can just imagine them side by side? I’ll imagine them side by side-with me in the middle.

Beth Williamson’s Devils on Horseback: Nate, is now available in Print. This is the first book in her new series, and Beth just keeps getting better and better. If hot cowboys coming to the rescue are what gets your heart pumping and panties wet, this is an author you should be reading.

Check out the Spotlight on Lori Armstrong here. If you like mysteries and absolutely fantastic characters you Have to check out Lori’s Julie Collins series. If you doubt me, read what I had to say about Blood Ties when I first discovered this author and then read Lori’s interview. An author who stays true to her flawed and very human character. I’m telling you, Lori Armstrong is top notch.

Julia Templeton’s new erotic historical is out too! I haven;t had a chance to read Return To Me yet. BUt I loved The Bargain, so I’m looking forward to finally picking Return To me off my TBR pile.

OH! And Secret Thoughts: LUSTFUL, which was released on Friday, has breached the Top Ten sales at My bookstore and More!!

Book News.

When it rains it pours. I have more news.

Sexy Devil is doing well, reader emails are positive and thank you so much for those that read my books, and especially those that write to me. It’s always a joy to receive a reader letter. And for those of you who prefer eBooks Sexy Devil is now AVAILABLE AT FICTIONWISE.com.

Bound has gone out of print. Yep. Just in time for WICKED’s release. I admit I’m sort of disappointed about that, but realistically, it has been in stores for a year and a half. However, Karl Dawson, the hero in WICKED is first introduced to readers in Bound, and while there is definitely not a need to read Bound to enjoy WICKED (or TROUBLE for that matter, because he’s in it too) it would’ve been cool to have them all available at the same time. So, if you have an interest in reading them all, check your local bookstores now, because what’s out there now is all there is.

(WICKED’s release date is January 2, 2008 and if you click on the picture below, you’ll see a larger version you can actually read. LOL )

Reviews for WICKED are starting to trickle in. Check it out!!

4 Stars from RT:
White turns up the heat with electrifying erotic scenes and a delicious alpha hero. It’s a realistic portrayal of two commitment-phobic people who turn sex games into romance. Fans will recognize some secondary characters from previous books, and new characters add just enough conflict to make things interesting. The plot moves at a good pace, and the sex is edgy, including threesomes and a M/M couple.

Harriet Klausner
Sasha White provides a WICKED erotic romance starring two likable protagonists who believe love and marriage are societal farces. The metamorphous of Lara from tough independent street brawler to submissive is done with tenderness and caring, which makes her transformation seen genuine. The return of players from BOUND and TROUBLE add depth to this contemporary by showcasing the BDSM lifestyle can include commitment. Sub-genre fans will enjoy Sasha White’s latest heater.

“Trouble was a red-hot page-turner for this reviewer. It held my attention from beginning to end. Sasha White did a fascinating job of combining an interesting plot and steamy hot sex scenes. The sex scenes were so hot that this reviewer had to take a cold shower.”

Slim Camp

I’ve been late…and bad…and lazy…BUT, in an effort to get back into things, I’m stealing from BOB GREEN because I think he knows what he’s talking about…Take a look at this…

Losing weight seems easy enough: Eat less, move more. But there are so many ways that you can get off track; things that you think would spur weight loss can actually backfire and thwart your efforts. And misconceptions, such as the idea that healthy foods are too pricey, can also prevent you from peeling off the pounds. If you know which dieting traps are most likely to trip you up, you can avoid them. Check out some of the most common dieting traps I’ve seen people fall into.

They eat next to nothing.
If you think that cutting calories will help speed up your weight-loss efforts, think again. In fact, if you go too low, you’ll probably find just the opposite: Your slim-down efforts will come to a screeching halt. If you don’t eat enough, your metabolism slows down in an effort to conserve calories. Not to mention, you also risk not getting enough nutrients. It’s for these reasons that I don’t recommend going below 1,500 calories a day. Imagine, shedding pounds without having to starve yourself!

They expect to lose a lot of weight in no time.
Diets that promise quick weight loss just don’t work. If you do lose any weight, you’ll likely gain it right back when you start eating normally. That’s because any weight you do lose is likely water weight, not fat! Obviously, you want to be targeting body fat when you’re trying to lose, because it’s fat that primarily determines your size. And as you know, too much body fat can adversely affect your health. Plus, losing water is a bad thing. Your body needs water to keep your metabolism working properly and to burn calories. A more realistic goal is to drop a pound or two a week by eating a healthy, balanced, moderate-calorie diet.

They think they can’t afford healthy food.
Many people are under the impression that it’s a lot more expensive to eat a healthy diet, but this is a myth. Fresh fruits and vegetables may not be cheap, but they are less expensive than some of the high-fat, high-calorie processed foods that are available. And if you look at the fact that you’ll likely have to cut back on the quantity…

SO…sound like things you’ve done???

Catch Up.

Have I posted this picture before? I can’t remember, but I figure even if I have, it’s worth seeing again.

I have to say, winter is here for sure. It’s pretty cold, and I’ve been hibernating. Yes. After my birthday, I was sick, and pretty much slept every minute I was not at work - and some times when I should’ve been at work. I finally feel as if I’m coming around to being human again. And boy am I behind on things. Everything from email to grocery shopping to Xmas present shopping. Yep. I’m behind. And I’m determined to catch up in the next day or two.

I started off with my newsletter. I just finished it, and sent it off to my webmistress to send out Hopefully it will be happening soon - I haven’t sent one out for way too long. If you don’t get it, you can join my mailing list here .

As soon as I get caught up I can’t wait to upload the pictures from my camera onto my computer to play. It’s been way to long since I’ve done anything like that, and I took some pics of the snow. I know, somethings you have to see to understand. Plus, I’m starting work on Drake’s story right now. Drake was in Sexy Devil, and his story is a sequel, with many characters coming back.

Collette, Thank you for the advice on finding my lost file a while back. Id di find my file, after I’d already started to rewrite. LOL Now I’m stuck with which one I like better. But hey, that’s okay right? Choices are good! ANd thank you tot he others for there support and comments. :)

I’m hoping to have everything caught up and back on track by Saturday because I want to go see THE GOLDEN COMPAS when it releases this weekend. I’m super excited about it. Is anyone else looking forward to it?

And hows the holiday shopping? everyone started? done?

I hope you have a Happy Week!!
