Saying Goodbye

Beth Williamson has been writing The Malloy series ever since I met her. I’ve got all the books, and love the family. And now, the last one in the series is here and it’s a bittersweet goodbye.

THE LEGACYby Beth Williamson

When Noah Calhoun finds his place in the world, he discovers a woman who makes him whole.

Book Seven of the Malloy family series

Noah Calhoun always felt like an outsider in the Malloy family, even though he’d been legally adopted at age fifteen by Nicky, the only sister in the pack. After an accident nearly kills his father, Tyler, Noah decides to leave and find his own place in the world. Using the skills his ex-bounty hunter father taught him, Noah finds a job as a small-town sheriff.

Rosalyn Benedict didn’t need a fresh-faced do-gooder sheriff trying to help her. She’d been surviving just fine on her own. Living on the streets since she was a child, Rosalyn was smarter, tougher and stronger than most people ever hope to be.

With her stubbornness and his pigheadedness, will Noah and Rosalyn find that one place where they both belong?

That’s all I’m saying about it since anyone who comes here knows how much I love this series. But I do agree that it’s important for an author to know when to quit a series. As sad as I to see it end, I’m thrilled that the magic of these stories will never be diminished by continuing past the point theyshould be.

THE LEGACY: is a fantastic story that braught tears to my eyes and made my heart swell at the same time. Beth Williamson is a storyteller that you should not ignore!

Stuff

So I think I’m reverting.

By that I mean, I’ve had donut cravings lately…and I’ve been caving to them . *Yumm!* And I’ve had napping urges – no urges is the wrong word. It’s like 4 in th afternoon hits and I pass out. Seriously, I fall asleep sitting up if I happen to be sitting up at the time. Tehn I’m up all night. Yup, up until 3 , 4 or 5 in the a.m.

The good thing? I get a lot more done when I work late at night. New stories are starting to build in my mind. Which means, maybe some interesting excerpts and erotic posts coming up.

In other news, one of those things I did was get my July Newsletter ready. My web mistress will be sending it out in a day or two…and..since I like to treat my Newsletter subscribers good, for my WHITE HOT NEWS exclusive giveaway this month, I’m giving away a $40 Gift Certificate for Amazon.com.

Trouble is Coming Soon!!!
And readers are loving it! I can’t wait for it’s release.

Samair Jones is fed up with being a pushover for her boss and for her two-timing boyfriend. All she wants is to live by her own rules. Then she meets hot nightclub owner Valentine Ward and the decadent possibilities of answering only to herself become daringly clear.

Especially when Valentine is willing to indulge every one of Samair’s fantasies- no strings attached. At least none that Samair can see.

Then she meets Valentine’s powerful, jealous, and dangerously manipulative ex-wife Vera. Vera’s about to throw a new kink into Samair and Valentine’s games, and this one could be trouble.

Trouble is my second single title novel, and one with a theme I think every reader will be able to empathize with. Samair is looking to find her own true self, and Val is just trying to get his life back together after being betrayed by the woman he loved. Both of them are looking to be independant and find their own happiness and security. And in writing it, I saw them find it all.

I really enjoyed writing Trouble, ofcourse the bar/nightclub setting felt just like home to me, but the characters felt like they could be my freinds…or even me. It thrills me to se that readers/reviewers are feeling the same way.

    New Reviews for Trouble

4 Stars from Romantic Times:
“White’s highly erotic tale is an attention-grabber from page one. The story starts with a scorching encounter between the main characters and keeps the heat level high with a steamy threesome. The heroine’s personality will appeal to the wild side that lurks inside us. All the characters are easy to relate to, and a vicious ex-wife adds plenty of conflict. Other elements keep the tension building, and the plot doesn’t lag anywhere.”

from Barb Hicks at The Best Reviews
“I REALLY loved this book. TROUBLE by Sasha White is very hot, erotic, but it is also a lot of fun. The characters are well developed and with the exception of Val’s ex wife, the type of people that you would like to hang out with and be friends with. I loved Samair’s friend Joey, she really needs her own story as well as Val’s friend Karl.

RUN TO THE STORE, when TROUBLE hits the stands!!”

Friday Night

So I was working the bar, chatting with regulars about nothing special when all of a sudden it hit me. There were four very hot guys at one of the tables – a table I’d been serveing for a couple of hours already, and they hadn’t caught my interest.

That probably sounds bad, and in a way it is. Normally I notice hot guys even if I’m not particularly attracted to them. It’s a talent. But for whatever reason, I didn’t even really notice those ones. So I mentioned this to my co-worker, who was sitting at the bar after her shift and having a beer. She looked at me and shook her head sadly. “What is wrong with you?”

My other co-worker just laughed and said. “Maybe she’s growing up.” then walked away.

So… I thought about it, and I realized I’ve not really looked at a man with interest in a while. In fact, I can’t remember the last time. (Okay, there was the cop in Atlanta that I asked to frisk me, but that’s not what I’m talking about.) I’m talking about the actual urge to meet someone, or the attraction of a stranger. I havent; felt that in a long time. I’m not sure if it’s me finally growing up (hmph!) or is it contentment with my life (and even lack of romantic life), or is it just that I’ve given up?

Myself, I’m still trying to decide. But opinions are welcome..what do you think?

Energizer Cleaner

I’ve been on a massive cleaning spree the past few days. I mean, as in throwing stuff away, cleaning the bookshelves off even. As in All the books I’ve held onto for years because they were “keepers”. That’s not to say I didn’t love them, but I’m thinking, if I haven’t re-read them in the past year or two…they can go. Tonight, I do the same thing with my closet. Yep, look out clothes, I’m coming in with a big green garbage bag!

I think it’s major procrastination, plus, I know the time is coming soon for me to go back “into the cave” and get some major writing done. And it’s always nice to not have to trip over stuff when I’m in my story. Because I have come to accept that -for me- I’ll never be someone who write a certain amount every day. Who writes all the time, and who is basically balanced.

Yep, I’m an all or nothing kinda girl, and that means I can take time off from writing, and not write at all….then when it is time to write…that’s all I’ll do. My biggest home fro this coming round of maniac writer time is that I can control my eating. I don’t think not working out four days a week will hurt that much as long as I can stay away fromt he donuts and potatoe chips.

In other news. My Gerber daisies only have one flower left. The others have died. But, I looked up some care tips on the internet, and aim to have more blooms soon. *crosses fingers* All the other plants and flowers are still alive, so I’m feeling pretty good.

How about you? Anything interesting you want share??
