Mrs.Giggles reviewed The Cop!!

Okay, so it’s not the best review for the whole book, but I’m thrilled she liked my contribution, Sex As A Weapon.

I have to quote her review…I love this part

I’ve always like Sasha White’s stories because when it comes to the sexy stuff, she never compromises by making silly Harlequin Blaze type concessions to make the heroine come off as “good”. Here, therefore, Vanessa is what she is - she can flirt and she feels that it is natural to act on a mutual sexual attraction with a good-looking guy instead of acting like she will die if she sleeps with that man. She’s not some “good girl” virgin forced into running a sex club to make someone happy - she likes sex, she likes the sensuality in the world she lives in, and she even has bisexual tendencies that she is not afraid to own up to or embrace. In short, she’s exactly the person to manage Club O well. Kane is a more familiar hot cop hero but he’s a likable fellow too. He and Vanessa are too hot for words together.

I was super excited to have Wild, Wicked and Wanton in my hand, and it just about killed me when I started the book and couldn’t stop myself from cringing. I wasn’t rolling my eyes over the writing. Jaci is an awesome writer, so don’t think that. What got me was this… three best friends, a blonde a brunette, a redhead, and a dare to get them into their sexual games. I felt like I’d seen this story before - more than once.

Another thing that sort of had me not thrilled was the heroine in the the first novella - and her insecure “I’ve never done this sort of thing before” attitude. I’m bored with that sort of thing in erotic stories. Honestly, I wasn’t even sure I could continue reading. BUT, I did, and I am very glad I did.

Jaci has amazing talent. You know this is true when she can take a reader like me who is cringing at the start, and have me completely hooked half way through . Was it hot? Hell yeah! Were the stories predicatable? Yeah, I think they were. But Jaci still managed to draw me in and make me care about the characters. I kept reading until I was finished each story, and I’m glad for it. That’s talent.

I admit it. I have a problem with cliches..or what I think of as cliches..but she really nailed it. By the end of the first novella I was shaking my head and laughing at myself. It just goes to show a good writer can make any story work. Well done, Jaci.
