Okay, so I’ve been feeling a bit resltess lately…but today, I had enough. Yup, after work, then working out, I went and got my hair cut.

After looking in all those mirrors at the gym, and seeing the mop that was supposed be my hair, I was ready to chop it all off. I’d been fighting the urge for a while, but … my hairdresser talked me out of it. Instead, we cut just over three inches from it, and put some bright, fire engine red highlights in.

Funny how a new hairstyle can perk up the spirits, huh?

LUSH wasn’t supposed to be released until March 27th at the earliest. In fact I was told April 3, but rumor has it, that it’s in some stores NOW!!!

I can’t stress how much I want this book to do well. Of course I want all my books to do well, but LUSH is my very first single author anthology, and I absolutely love writing novellas, and if this does well, that means I might get to do more like it!!

So, with that in Mind, I’m going to post bits of each story in the next little while to hopefully get you all hooked.

To start with, I’m posting the prologue for the first novella in the book. THE PRINCIPLES OF LUST, and the photo that inspired it.

Right now, I’m off to the gym. Yup, I joined the gym again, and hired a personal trainer to help me stay motivated. No, in my opinion, he’s not super cute. Which is a good thing I think. I’ve had cute trainers before, and that doesn’t always work. Basically, I joined again because this whole ‘just eat right’ and be healthy thing does not work for me. I’ve been active my whole life until five years ago. And while I’m still sort of active…I did try to stop focussing onfitness as a way to look after myself. I got tired of going to the gym all the time. Well, I’ve learned that for me, I need the gym to stay motivated with the eating right.

So the goal: the gym three days a week.

And in kicks my obsessive personality and I’m already thinking, no three days isn’t enough I should go 5 days. This can be good…but it can also be bad. So I’m really trying to stay balanced. I’ve been watchign TV, and reading. and even writing a little.

I am taking a break from big writing projects right now, my brain needs it. *blush*
Oh, and I baught a new camera. LOL So there should be photos to come…as soon as I find a model. A few friends have offered to model, but pinning them down to a day to actually do it seems to not be so easy.

During my twenties, I was heavy into fitness and martial arts and all sorts of active things. I managed to sprain both my ankles many times. Sometimes very very badly. Noww, People don’t believe me when I tell them I can sprain my ankle just standing still. But I can, and yes, I did it last night. Home alone, just standing and waiting for my microwave popcorn to finish, I turned to see something onthe TV, and my ankle went “Pop!” and down I went.

I immediatly grabbed my ide pack fromthe freezer - Yes, I have a very good ice pack - and put my foot up and kept the ice on it. I can walk, but it’s all swollen and purple.

You know why it happened? Because I joined the gym again, and I was planning on working out today. Yup, I swear, everytime I try to get back into shape my ankle protests. You’d think my ankle would WANT me to lose weight, make life easier on it.

Whatever, it won’t stop me come Monday!

After running all over town trying to find a guarantor, I finally found one. How?
Well, when I went to the passport office to pick up an “In Liue of Guarantor” form, the very helpful lady there looked up who was the guarantor on my last passport. Then she looked inthe database and found me the phone number and address of where the Dr was working. :)

So I went and got Him to sign it.

Then, I went back to the passport office, and got to walk right past teh two hour long line up because I had a chit from the lady the day before. I waited for about ten minutes, then it was turn, and I was gfone in five minutes. It was WONDERFUL!

She also said I should have my passport by the end of this month, wich is great, cuz then I won’t be in a panic days before heading to Houston for thr RT conference!!
