Bondage

“Bondage is one of the erotic plays that can be used as foreplay to the main “dish” or simply as a separate part of BDSM practice. “

As some of you might know, BDSM and -well, basically, most aspects of sexuality fascinate me. I love to watch, think about , talk about , and write about how different people view sexuality, sex, and erotic sensation. I do a lot of surfing on the net for research as well as fun, but this time this blogger found me, and I’m thankful for it. Check out this new Bondage Guide Blog! The site is fairly new, but there’s a great poll up right now. and some intriguing archives to surf through.

ROGUE HEART

SW_RogueHeart72

This is tentatively scheduled for a January release, but unless I get my ass in gear, it might not happen until February.
Here’s the first scene for you. What do you think? Those of you who have read GYPSY HEART, sound like the Jake you all met? Those of you who haven’t read GYPSY HEART, got an idea of what’s happening ?

EXCERPT:

It was hard won, but Jake Wolf was content in his own little world.

He enjoyed the isolation of being the only cook in the kitchen at The Zodiac pub. He really did. He came to work, he did his job and people left him alone. Just the way he liked it. But when a familiar feminine laugh drifted into the kitchen from the pub and Jake’s gut clenched, he had a hard time remembering that.

Pasting a deliberately blank expression on his face, he placed the plate of natcho’s he’d just pulled from the microwave in the pass through window for Sable, the bartender, to pick up, and headed out front to grab a drink.

He really did need something to drink. His getting that refill now had nothing to do with hearing Miranda’s tinkling laugh again. Uh huh. Keep lieing to yourself, buddy. You’re getting good at it.

He stepped behind the bar and filled his glass with Coke while his eyes scanned the half-full pub. When he spotted the tiny blonde bent over the pool table his heart about stopped. Shit, she looked good.

Miranda Grey was dressed in tight jeans and a tight shirt that showed off her perfect curves in a way that the business suits’s she used to wear to work never did. Not only had his boss’s usual mode of dress changed over the last two months, so had her attitude. She never used to stay after work to play pool or have a few drinks, and she certainly never licked her lips and smiled at him like that.

Well, she had once. And he’d been tempted, more tempted than he could remember ever being, but an affair with Miranda, wasn’t the way to keep his life quiet and content. Then again, turning her down two months ago had only seemed to make his life more complicated too.

The real shit thing about it all was that he hadn’t turned her down because she was his boss, titles and labels and things meant very little to him, he’d stepped back from her arousing kiss because he thought it was the right thing to do. He’d loved and lost his soul mate already, and straight-laced Miranda just hadn’t seemed the type to be into one-night stands.

Jake watched the slick looking dude she was shooting pool with put a hand on her hip and lean down to whisper in her ear.

It seemed he might’ve been wrong.

“If you glare any harder he might go up in flames.” Sable Castle said as she nudged him aside and set a pitcher of draft on the bar for the waitress to pick up.

He stepped back and met the bartenders gaze head on. “What are you babbling about now?”

“C’mon Jake. You can’t bullshit a bullshitter. It’s driving you up the wall to see Mandy here with a date, just admit it.”

“It doesn’t bother me at all,” he lied. “I was just wondering where I knew the guy from.”

“Uh huh.” Sable flashed him a knowing look before turning to the next customer in line at the bar with a flirtatious smile.

Jake ignored her and watched as Miranda’s date cupped her cheek and lowered his head. A split second before the guys lips touched hers, Miranda turned her face to the side and his lips landed on her cheek. And that was when she saw Jake.

Her eyes widened and Jake clenched his jaw. Neither of them looked away.

“I need another plate of natcho’s, Jake. And an order of chicken wings too, hot please.” Katie rattled off the order as she took the empty glasses from her tray and put them on the end of the bar for Sable to pick up. When he didn’t respond right away her voice rose slightly. “Jake? You there?”

He pulled his gaze from Miranda’s and smiled at the waitress. “Not for long, Darlin’. I’m going to make your food.” After all, he enjoyed the isolation of the kitchen, right?

Todays Horoscope

Make time to create quiet space around you today and you could be surprised at what comes to the surface. You may even stumble upon a brilliant solution to something that has bothered you for a while. But don’t spend the whole day lost in meditation, for there is excess energy that needs expressing. Get out and have some fun. Strive for a balance between the inner work and the outer play.

I dearly hope this is true, as I am really sucking in the creative storytelling department right now. I’m working on ROGUE HEART, the sequel to GYPSY HEART. I’ve been struggling with getting this novella written for almost 2 months, and I am out of time. Sadly, I have only 4 pages done. My problem? I can’t figure out how to Start the damn thing. How much does that suck? Should I continue the story right where GH left off, even though GH was written 2 years ago? And should I stay true to what happened between Jake and Miranda in my mind when I wrote GH. What I thought happened never made it into the book, so technically it doesn’t have to have happened. Y’know?

So, yesterday I went to the bookstore. I spent a lot of money and picked up (among other things) my copy of Alison’s CIG that finally came in. And Iam loving it.

I think maybe I am a Complete Idiot, in a way, because honestly, I buy refrence books or manuals and I flip through them and never read them. (Except Stephen King’s On Writing) And I’ve been reading this one, and feeling the kick in the pants I need.

Love it! Highly Recommend it!!

I am motivated now. I am getting this *&^%$%^ novella done this weekend because I also have a Dec 1st deadline with Kensington for the sequel to The Devil Inside. So, I’m creating my quiet space. I have one 15k novella, and one 60k story to write this month. I’ll be posting lot’s of Pic’s excerpts and joke in the next month as I’m going into the writing cave. :)

But please, visit often cuz I’ll need opinions on the excerpts. I’ll post as I write. Starting tiwht tomorrow, the first scene from ROGUE HEART! (see, now I’ve promised it to you, so I HAVE to get it done.
