I have a short, but LIVE Radio interview in the morning. I’ve got to be up early. I’m not a morning person. This could get ugly.

UPDATE
OKay, so I actually woke up on time and made it to the Radio Station. And I’m glad. I had a great time.
My neighbour in the building here listens to them every morning, and I listened the other day, so I had an idea what to expect. To be honest, I’d love to listen to these guys every day if the show wasn’t on at 5:30 in the morning. That’s about the time I’m finally going to bed, not getting up!
Someday, I will have a normal schedule. I think.
Anyway, The breakfast guys are The Pepper and Dylan Show and I was only on for a few minutes, but I got to hang around and be a pest for a bit longer. It was tempting to stay for the whole show but I think they would’ve hated me by the end of that…so I just left them a couple of books, and said good day.
Here’s a funny tidbit for you… when I signed my second contract with Berkley, the proposal for my third single title had a Radio Personality as the hot hero. There is just somethign about a sexy voice that does it for me. lol. It got pushed aside for Karl’s story, cus readers …oh okay, and cus *I* wanted more of him after BOUND and TROUBLE. But now, I think I’ll have to polish up that proposal and definitly do the radio personality as a hero. These guys were asking for Sandwich recipes and my mind was not thinking of the kind with bread. 
I tell you, it amazes me I can be a bit of a pervert even that early in the morning.
Anyway, one of the things they did, which made me feel very comfortable, was they had Robbie The Employee, write a small bit of erotica for me to critique. I asked if I could take it with…and here it is…
I could see her shaking it from across the room. It was dimmly lit, but like an owl to a mouse in the night…my eyes were glued. I’m pretty sure her pants were two sizes too small-and that made me figure it might be harder to get her out of them… none the less, I wanted a piece. I introduced myself and bought her a drink. My pick up line was cheesy, but it seemed to work. And then we danced! Oh, did we dance. Her bump and grind was messing up my mind.
She came home with me and we made some sweet sweet love.
The End.
Despite the fact that it was meant to be cheesy and funny, I think it’s not bad for a first attempt. I mean, layer in a bit of emotion, and a bit more action…I’ve definitely read worse. Especially if you think not in terms of professional writing, but in terms of fun writing. What woman wouldn’t do anything for her man if he made an attempt at something like this for her.

I really enjoyed Robbie The Employee’s attempt at erotica. It was most definitely written by a man.
I liked it though because it made me laugh. Don’t get me wrong, I love good serious erotica….but sometimes you just need a good chuckle with your sex…. 
I for one would love to read about a hero with a sexy, smooth radio voice — I’m with you, there’s just something about a sexy voice that revs my motor.

I think it’s the thought behind the note that makes the difference. Whether it’s erotica or poetry, him taking the time to write his thoughts out is enough to make me extra appreciative!

DJs…. Voices…leads me to my own little dream world. I can always expect
if I bring up Ricky Martin pretty much anywhere but an RM fan board, but the man has a to-die-for voice. I have a recording from an LA radio station (KLVE) where he intro’d several of his own songs (speaking in Spanish of course) that has made me decide that if he ever quits touring and cutting albums that he could be the highest paid late night DJ around.

Am glad that you had fun doing the radio show. I know what you mean about a sexy voice. There was one man that I never met in my office since he was overseas and his voice was always enough to send a mild shiver down the spine and raise goosebumps on my skin.
As for the bit of erotica for critiquing, it does need work. Would expect that other than emotion, it would need some rephrasing or polishing and a more detailed drawing out of the sensations involved and reactions provoked by the characters. The difficult thing would be to add a bit of finesse without losing the original voice of the writer.
You are on tv, radio, what’s coming next? It sounds like an absolute blast and I hope you are having a grand time with it all!
