Hehehe

A woman and her boyfriend are out having a few drinks. While they’re sitting there having a good time together she starts talking about this really great new drink. The more she talks about it, the more excited she gets, and starts trying to talk her boyfriend into having one. After a while he gives in and lets her order the drink for him. The bartender brings the drink and puts the following on the bar –

A saltshaker, a shot of Baileys, and a shot of lime juice. The boyfriend looks at the items quizzically and the woman explains. “First you put a bit of the salt on your tongue, next you drink the shot of Baileys and hold it in your mouth, and finally you drink the lime juice.”

So, the boyfriend, trying to go along and please her, goes for it.

He puts the salt on his tongue — salty but OK.

He drinks the shot of Baileys – smooth, rich, cool, very pleasant. He thinks – this is OK. Finally he picks up the lime juice and drinks it.

….. In one second the sharp lime taste hits…
….. At two seconds the Baileys curdles
….. At three seconds the salty curdled bitter taste hits.

This triggers his gag reflex but being manly, and not wanting to disappoint his girlfriend, he swallows the now nasty drink. When he finally chokes it down he turns to his girlfriend, and says, “Holy S***, what do you call that drink?”

She smiles widely at him and says…. “Blow Job Revenge”

Winner

Congratulations Liz !!

( eliza.weiss ) You are the winner of a signed copy of THE COP! Just email me your snail mail addy, and I’ll put it in the mail next week. :)

Thanks everyone who entered. Be sure to drop in often and check things out as I tend to do spur of the moment giveaways occasionally.

It’s Friday, and I’m not to sure how I feel abvotu going to wrok tonight. I’m looking forward to making some $$, but at the same time, the urge to go out and have a few drinks, shoot some pool and maybe even dance a little is very very strong.

It used to be that I could talk someone into closing for me when this urge hit. Well, talk and bribe a little. But lately, it hasn’t happened so I might end up working all night. If I do, I sure hope I get some intrigueing customers to make time pass in a fun way.

Anyone watch SUPERNATURAL last night? I had to go over to my parents to watch it on their satelite as the silly TV station I normally watch it on decided to put the pilot of UGLY BETTY on instead.

Anyway, Supernatural. YES! It was bit predicatable, no real surprises, but I still love the show. I hope they don’t try to drag out the “Whats special about Sam” thing all season. I want to see lotsw of action, and I love the banter between the boys, so I hope they keep it up. And what are they going to do fro a car now? I loved that Impala. :(

OKay, other shows … Shark. I love it. Nothing else to say. ;)

Have a good friday night!

Pity Pool.

Just a short dip… I promise

I admit it. I feel professional jealousy at times. And lately I’ve been feeling it more than ever. I think I’m pms’ing, but knowing that doesn’t stop the emotions from building does it?

So why am I jealous when I am actually pretty pleased with the way my own career is going? Because I feel like a nobody. I feel like the last kid standing when teams are being chosed or something. I see erotic Q&A’s going on at aplace I frequent and I wasn’t invited to take part, I see friends getting together and coming up with projects to work on together and I’m not invited to take part, I see other writers getting nominations or kudos from review sites or such and I don’t.

Recently an author asked me for a quote on her writing, and then asked me, “Who do I attribute it to Sasha White, author of Bound”?

Well, really yes, that’s all you can say. I’m not a best seller, I’ve not received any awards or kudos anywhere. I’m just a writer. Now, that author didn’t mean anything by her comment. I know this and I love her dearly. But her question sort of summed up how I’ve been feeling the last couple of days.

These feelings have also mixed up with the whole “I don’t like being single right now” thing. Sometimes I love being single, others … I hate it. I feel alone, and lonely, and like nobody cares. (Let’s pretend I didn’t just get invited to be part of that TV show Okay? Because I’m speaking about things within the writing community. Here on line.)

Now, this is not normally the type of post authors would put ontheir blog, as I’ve noticed most only like to put up good news and happy family life shit. However, I tend to share the good and the bad with you all…and just typing this out and venting has made me feel better. Selfish maybe, but it works.

Now, It’s time to get out of the pity pool and dry off. I have work to do.

Thanks for listening.

A Total Write Off

Guess, what?

I’ve been invited to be a guest on the TV series A Total Write-Off! It’s a half hour comedy tv show about writers and such. Follow the link to read more about A Total Write Off.I’m booked into do taping for it in early October and the shows will air in early 2007!! It sounds like so much fun!!

More good news is that my brother got a new job. Not sure if you all knwo this, but my big brother was my source of info for all things environmental and friefighter releated in GYPSY HEART, (There wasn’t alot, I ended up cutting what wasn’t needed, even though I learned alot). He was an envoronmental investigator for the goverment, and now he’s going to be on a brand new Emergency Response Team. These new team will be working will other law enforcement groups in dealing not only with things like fires and floods, but grow operations and meth labs, and the consequences of them and such. There’s a lot more to it than I could ever tell you, but suffice to say, I so proud of him!!

So what’s going on with you? Any news to share??

Power of the Mind

Today’s Post is over at the Access Romances Blog. It’s all about the power of the mind. :)

In other news Bound has gotten another good review. This one from Claudia at Romance Junkies.

“BOUND by Sasha White pushed major buttons with me. While the intense sexual relationship between Joe and Katie left me breathless at times, I soon became enamored of both of them. I adored Katie for her eagerness, and Joe for his patience and fortitude. Ms. White’s description of them was so realistic that I could see them in my mind. “
