BONES

Anyone watch BONES last night? Huh?

I have to admit, when that show started last year, I wasn’t a fan. I thinkit’s just cuz I loved Angel so damn much and had a hard time seeing David Boreanaz as anyone else. But the season went on, and I was hooked.

Last night was Great! I love the way he understands Temperance and pushes her out of her comfort zone. And the new boss lady and flirt thing going on…oh yeah. It’s going to be a great season!

I’m also waiting for the start of Studio 60 on the Sunset strip. It looks very promising.

What are you waiting for?

OMG!!

OKay, I admit it. There are a couple of reality shows I watch. RockstarSUPERNOVA, (I enjoyef INXS last year as well) . This show goes along with my loving to see people chase their dreams thing. And…Big Brother. I sort of got sucked into watchign that one, I’m not sure how it happened. But I’ve been watchign this all-stars one for a few weeks, adn tonight I coudl not believe what I saw.

Anyone out there watch this show?

Can you believe Erika was stupid enough to put Danielle up?

The idiot got suckered by sleazy Mike Boogie. I almost hope she makes it to the final three with Mike and WIll, just so Mike can choose Will over her. Stupid

OH, and I’ll be blogging about Fetishes later today at the Allure Authors blog. Right now I’m going to bed to think about….fetishes.

It made for a great afternoon and evening read since I was unable to put it down until I read the last word. I thought it well written and I am thrilled to add an author to my automatic read list.”

Book Pimp’n

(I wrote this onthe weekend onthe Neo, just have not transfered it yet LOL)

So…I’m on this deadline fro TROUBLE, and I have to admit, I haven’t been feeling it. The story that is. I’m not sure why, there’s many possible reasons. I’ve been driving poor Beth nuts getting her to read and reread almost every day, then there’s Teri my test reader and I’ve roped Delilah into reading for me too. I need the input from my friends and critique partners to keep going because I myself am having trouble with TROUBLE. Why am I having trouble with it? Because Karl is a secondary character in TROUBLE, but his book is my next Single Title after this…and honestly, the man fascinates me and I just want to get to his story.

So, I felt I needed some inspiration to keep my ass motivated, so I went to a movie this afternoon. I went to see INVINCABLE with Marky Mark. *drool* I’m a sucker, I love underdog stories. In fact, chasing dreams and going after what you want is a recurring theme in my own stories. So, when I need a kick in the butt, I remind myself by watching/reading other inspirational stories.

From the RUDY to MIRACLE, and everything in between. It doesn’t have to be a sports theme either; there are ones like FINDING FORRESTER or MEN OF HONOR. I just love to see someone chasing, and attaining their dream through sheer determination and heart. INVINCABLE was perfect. And to cement my inspiration I stopped at the bookstore on the way home, just to walk around and look at all the pretty books. They only had 1 copy of BOUND left on the shelf, and a couple of PURE SEX. :D

And of course, shy person that I am, I started yapping with another girl that was haunting the romance section. It all started over one of Karen Marie Monings Highlander books. (At this point I’d like to mention that when I was in Atlanta, and saw her signing books, her man was with her…and he is HOT. Seeing him gave me hope that these hero’s we create can be real!) Conversation went from the highlanders to the Dark Hunters, then I started to pimp some books. First I had to point out the Black Dagger Brotherhood books to Laura (Yes, we exchanged names). I can’t tell you how much I love JR Ward’s books. And LOVER AWAKENED (the third in the series) will be out on September 5th. I was sort hoping it might be in the store today, but no luck. I also pointed her in the direction of the Stephanie Plum novels…all of which I’ve read and reread, and reread again. The other one’s I was pimp’n were Kelley Armstong’s Otherwold series, and Kim Harrison’s Witch series. In return, she suggested I give Lindsay Sands and Katie McAllister a try. (Which I will) ._All in all…I came home ready to plant my ass in the chair and finish my book!

Sneek Peek; TROUBLE

Val stood in the shadowed corner watching Samair as she danced. He hadn’t thought much about her in the few days since they’d first met, but he’d been able to think of nothing else since she’d walked into Risque that night.

The club was pretty busy for a Monday night and he’d watched from his office as she laughed and danced with her friends until the itch under his skin became undeniable. He’d made a quick round of the club, checking in with his doormen and bartenders to see that all was well before he’s found a corner, and searched her out with his gaze.

Dressed in a soft pink top that hugged her upper body and showed off her fantastic cleavage, and some long flowing skirt that hid the curve of her delectable ass, she danced with an enthusiasm and abandon that called to the animal deep within.
As if she sensed his thoughts, she spun around and her gaze landed directly on him. Or on the corner where he stood.

There was no way she could see him in the darkened corner, but it was obvious she knew someone was there, watching her. A defiant and blatantly devilish grin spread across her face and she shook her ass, rubbing back against her partner. The challenge in her gaze was clear. The thrill of the chase fired up inside him. She was out to have a good time, and nothing was going to get in her way.

Raising her hands, she spun in her partner’s arms, did a last rub against him, then walked away, leaving the loser who’d been trying to make a move on her behind on the dance floor.

The thrill of the chase fired up inside him and he stepped out of the shadows to follow her. If she really wanted to misbehave, he was the man for her.

He saw her at the back bar and moved in that direction. When he stepped up behind her, Tommy was just sliding her drink in front of her. With a shake of his head Val signaled the bartender to refuse her money. Before she could turn around, he leaned in and spoke softly against her ear. “What’s number two?”

She did a tight turn, her body brushing erotically against his, and looked up at him. “Number two?”

“On your list of favorite sexual fantasies.”

“Oh, that.” Her baby blue eyes met his dead on. “You thinking of helping me experience the whole thing?”

“Possibly.”

She licked her lips and his cock twitched.

Samair saw the flare of heat in Valentine’s dark eyes and an answering flame licked her insides. The need to dance close to the fire had her reaching out to place a hand low on his belly. His stomach contracted and heat seeped through the silk of his dress shirt to her fingertips, invading her veins.

“I’m not so sure ‘possibly’ is good enough for me to tell you my deepest desires.” She struggled to keep her voice light and flirtatious.

“How about we make a little deal?”

“Deal?”

He moved closer, leaving mere millimeters of space between their bodies as he reached up to brush a lock of hair away from her cheek. “You tell me your fantasies … and I’ll make them come true.”

Samair swallowed, her heart pounding and pussy dampening. This was no boy to be toyed with. Valentine Ward was all man, and the promise in his gaze made it clear he was confident in his abilities to follow through.

Yet, she couldn’t help but try to push a button or two. “Promises, promises.”

He stepped back and tucked his hands into his pockets. His hooded gaze ran over her, making all her pleasure points tingle, and threw out a challenge of his own. “Are you brave enough to see if I can keep my promises?”

Nope, not a boy at all.

A thrill ripped through her at the prospect of having this man willing to do whatever she wanted. “Right now my fantasy is to have you on your knees, with your face buried between my thighs.”

“Done.”

Calling Cupid

cupidon_big

Dear Cupid,

I’ve tried very hard to be patient. I waited until I was almost 30 before I called for you the first time. I’ve done my best to try not to be a pest. I’ve searched and searched, and moved on and around. I’ve tested and tried but have had no success.
My life is good, I know I’ve got more than most, but it feels so very empty, almost like I’m a ghost.
I’ve a big heart and lots of love to give, will you please, once and for all, just answer my call?

Update:
Tom mentioned in the comments that my letter to Cupid should be turned into a poem. I suck at poetry so I told him to go for it, and he did. This is what he wrote…and I absolutely love it!!!

Letter to Cupid

Despite the nights spent in sparkling conversation,
Despite the trips that span the globe and fill the soul with inspiration.
Despite passionate friendships showered with laughter and tears,
Despite it all,

There is an emptiness.

Thirty years spent well and full, have not filled this place
That yearns and cries for warmth and searches, yes searches
For that match that heats the body and the soul both
To a flaming pitch.

And so it is that tonight, instead of writing of love,
Or imagining, or dreaming, I find myself here at my window,
Gazing at the cold starry sky, calling for you, and bear my chest
Pleading for the arrow, the pain, and the potion.

Tom Atkins

Thanks, Tom!

Warning

The next ten days is going to be full of jokes and excerpts and hot photos.
Yup, I’m heading into deep hermit mode in order to make my Sept 1st deadline, so unless somethign majorly exciting or disasterous occurs, I’m going to be the hit and run blogger. However, I don’t want you to leave, and never come back…so I have something planned for everyday…So be sure to come back and play. Or just be entertained.

Today, it’s a joke that was sent to me from Wanda. Thanks Wanda!

Miss Beatrice, the church organist, was in her eighties and had never been
married.

She was admired for her sweetness and kindness to all.

One afternoon the pastor came to call on her and she showed him into her quaint sitting room.

She invited him to have a seat while she prepared tea.

As he sat facing her old Hammond organ, the young minister noticed a cut-glass bowl sitting on top of it.

The bowl was filled with water, and in the water floated, of all things, a condom!

When she returned with tea and scones, they began to chat.

The pastor tried to stifle his curiosity about the bowl of water and its strange floater, but soon it got the better of him and he could no longer resist.

“Miss Beatrice”, he said, “I wonder if you would tell me about this?” pointing to the bowl.

“Oh, yes,” she replied, “Isn’t it wonderful? I was walking through the park a few months ago and I found this little package on the ground.

The directions said to place it on the organ, keep it wet and that it would prevent the spread of disease. Do you know I haven’t had the flu all winter.”

Why.

Dear Blog Readers,

There are a lot of writers out there with blogs. Blogging has become the “new” way to promote for writers. I have to admit, When I got my website just over two years ago, I had to be talked into having the blog. Then it became FUN. I met people and found it was a great way to interact. I discovered a bit of an exhibitionsit streak in myself. (Uhmm as in I like to spill my guts occasionally, not strip my clothes) I’d mention my books or stories every now and then, but I’ve tried to always keep my blog as a place for fun, frolic, and a bit of a tease for readers.

I still talk about my writing, but I try to talk about my life in general so that y’all can get a sense of who I am, because I ussually like me. :) However, as I’ve cut my hours behind the bar and writing has taken over my day to day life a lot more, my blog posts have become more focused on writing. I’m aware of that. I still talk about personal stuff, and men, and sex, (I do love to talk about sex) BUT, I also promote my books more and I admit it…I try to hook y’all into going to the stores and buying my books . I won’t ever let that become the main focus of my blog.

The main focus of my blog still is, and always will be, a place for me to share myself, and my thoughts, with you.

But When I read the post on Julie Leto’s Blog today, and the comments the readers had shared with her, I decided maybe I should tell You why the books and the writing has become more of a regular thing on here. You see, I love writing and I want to continue doing it. Hell, I will always continue to do it…but I’d love to be able to also keep it as a career. Anyway, Julie’s guest blogger explains it better than I can..so please go read this post. And know that no matter what..I’ll still always post the hotties, and the teases…even if I occsionally try to seduce you into hunting one of my books down.

Hugs,
Sasha
