So today was a day of all those little things that keep life interesting. Like the fact that I finally checked my phone messages at 2 in the morning to find out there was a Message left on Monday fromm UPS. A package needed to be picked up. So Thinking *hoping* it might be my author copies of Pure Sex. I set my alarm for 7 (when UPS opened) and called them. The address was wrong on the box so I said I’d go pick it up. The lady gave me the UPS adress, and I hung up then went back to sleep :)
When I got up I drove to the address she’d given me only to find it in the middle of a residential area…I saw a Canda Post mail-lady and asked her for help she called UPS we got the right address. Two blocks away. Whatever. Either I, or the lady who gave me the address ( I thinkit was her cuz I repeated it. I’m a waitress, I alsways repeat the order.LOL) anyway, one of us got two digits mixed up. So I arrive at UPS, afetr she fins the 30lb box of books I look at the name onit. Hmmm they called me, tehy had MY phone number, however, it was addressed to some guy, and the address was WAY off.
SO I open it up, sure enough…not my books. I called my editor in NY and he gave me the correct address to forward the box on…while I sighed. I knew it was too good tobe true. I’ve been wqarned by other Canadian authros to not expect my copies to come before the books hit the shelves. Customes is a bitch.
So I drive home and try to phone the insurance company to renew my insurance. I’d let it lapse again. I’m so disorganized with some things. Anyway, my phone was dead. SO I charged it. It took all of 15-20 minutes to charge then I’d turn it on only to have it turn itself off right away. Ionly have s cell phone. I don’t have a land line. I liekthe cell phone. I can turn it off so people don’t bother me. Anyway, the phone is more than three years old, and I admit I’ve dropped it a few times. (Although never in the toilet like my friend Kelly when she was drunk one night) So I realize myphone is DEAD. Yup completely dead.
I drive over to the restaurant and sit in myboss’s office and use her phone. I get insurance. I cancel my cell phone and arrange fro s REAL one. A land line. A new digital line that give me unlimited calls inCanda and the US!! YAY I can call Beth and listen to her accent. I also get 1,000 free internationl minutes a month..soI can call my friends in Italy, Germany and South Africa!! YAY!! And get this, when I bought the actual phone, I made sure I got one that turns off. 
Happy with my new phone I walked to the Sushi place only to find out it moved. :( So I had a protien shake for lunch. Nice huh? Actually it wasn’t too bad. I added frozen fruit..It was pretty good…and even better, I’ve lost 11 Poundsin thelast month …and I plan on losing more!!!
Okay what else have I not told you? Oh, The Walk For MS on Sunday went well. The weather was good, and it was very relaxing. Kelly and I raised almost $700 which we figure was pretty good since we really didn’t try that hard. We just hit up our customers at the bar LOL We also decided it was too short this year so we’re doing it next year to..but instead of 3 Kilometers we’re going to do the 10k. And we expect our customers to cough up even more money! 
Okay, I think I’m all caught up again. Sorry I’ve not been blogging as regularly as I used to. It’ll change ..I miss it.
