I met my husband on my first stop (though I had planned to work and then visit a few countries as a lark). Since then, due to hubb'ys work we have to move around every couple of years or so. Now, I yearn to settle down somewhere and put in roots...with my beloved and my kids, of course. Funny…I had been itching to travel and experience the new for years before I actually was able to do so. That there's someone out there who meshes perfectly with you. Unfortunately, in real life, even if you do find a mate, the meshing isn't always perfect. Says the woman whose dh is on a DIY kick and who probably wishes I was a little more Martha Stewart and little less Flaky McNut. Where was I? Oh yeah. I hear you on the gypsy thing, too. It's almost like a physical itch sometimes, isn't it? Like you start scratching when you see the same thing over and over. I've been lucky so far, but I get the feeling my gypsy days are coming quickly to an end. The idea makes me twitch.
