Money

How important is it to you?

Is it something you strive to accumulate just for the sake of having it? Or so you can buy pretty things, or cool electronic gadgits? Or do you just try to make enough to get buy so you can be lazy?
Or are you willing to sacrifice the almighty dollar to do what you find enjoyable as a career?

I think it’s too easy these days to get wrapped up in money. To forget that really we don’t need cable TV, or Digital cameras, or brand name clothing. I try very hard not too, but every now and then I realize I’m getting sucked into the grip of the dollar and have to remind myself of what’s important.

Now, when it comes to gift giving, do you care how much is spent? or Are you more impressed with the thought that goes into the gift? And if you can’t think of something special, so you compensate for the lack of idea by making sure the gift you give is an expensive one? And be honest, I know I tend to overcompensate if I can’t think of a gret gift idea. :D

Wanna be on TV?

Did anyone watch Dr.Phil today? I did. :D

I’m not normally a big fan of talk shows and such, but a commercial caught my eye and I remembered it about 1/4 into the show and switched over. It was about DATING. About how to find ‘the one’. Yup, I was hooked.

As much as I am living alone, and I really doubt I could ever find someone that I’d be willing to live with full-time, being single does get lonely. So I watched as DR.Phil coached single women on how to make a good impression on a first date, how to ask the right questions right away so you don’t waste your time, and how to not be so desperate for company you put up with someone that isn’t worthy.

I blame my voyueristic tendncies on being a writer. Uh huh. I absolutely loved to watch these singles get set up on dates, and have Dr.Phil whipering questions in their ears, and then disecting them later. I got a lot of good scene ideas from this show. Maybe a story about an advice columnist in the offing. :P

I have to admit though, if I had the chance to go on a show like that I would. I think even if I never met the man of my dreams, it’d be a hell of a ride. I’d love a chance to interview DrPhil.

Would you ever go on a dating/relationship show? Or worse yet…a reality show like Big Brother or The Real Life?(That’s what’s it’s called right? With all the young singles?)

I’d defintiely go on The Amazing Race if I could, (But I’m Canadian and they won’t allow me) Survivor…Yeah, I’d go on there too.

IF you could get on any show what would it be?

Saturday Funny!

I ran a contest on the Muse Loop last week, and had many jokes sent in as entries so I could have some laughs for you all this month. So, here’s the first!!

Thanks to ROSE for this one!

LITTLE OLD LADY

A little old lady, well into her eighties, slowly enters the front door of a sex shop. Obviously very unstable on her feet, she wobbles the few feet across the store to the counter. Finally arriving at the counter and grabbing it for support, she asks the sales clerk: “Dddooo youuuu hhhave dddddiilllldosss?”

The clerk, politely trying not to burst out laughing, replies: “Yes we do have dildos. Actually we carry many different models.”

The old woman then asks: “Dddddoooo yyyouuuu ccaarrryy aaa pppinkk onnee, tttenn inchessss lllong aaandd aabboutt ttwoo inchesss thiickk…aaand rrunns by bbaatteries ?

The clerk responds, “Yes we do.”

“Ddddooo yyoooouuuu kknnnoooww hhhowww tttooo ttturrrnnn ttthe ssunoooffabbitch offffff?”

December!!

It’s December!!
Christmas is coming!!

I need to start shopping. My brother and I decided to go together and get my parents a new computer, one so that they hopfully won’t need to call ands ask us to check their emails or how to open a document. One that is modern, and goes somewhat fast, but isn’t too loaded down with stuff. GUess who gets to go pick it out?
ME!! :D

My brother, lord, I have no idea what to get my brother. He always gets everyone else such great gifts, that it makes it hard to get him one. For my birthday he got me a Sony Handheld. I have NO CLUE how to use it.

Ok, I know how to add addresses, and I know how to write the “To Do” list. That’s it. I spent an hour on my computer (desktop) tonight, trying to figure out how to use the desktop program so I can back up the info and do the Sync thing. Maybe add a game, and see if this handheld candoubl as an ebook reader (I would thinkit can ) But, uhmm yeah still No CLUE how to do anything!!!

What’s really frustrating about it all….I’m sure it’s simple, I just can’t figure it out. You know? It has to be simple. My Father has one, and he can do it, and he doesn’t even know how to save photo’s from an email. I should be able to figure it out, right? I’ve decided that for Christmas I want my brother to come over and set up my desktop and show me how to do it. :)

OK, that takes care of me…back to what to get him. He’s 38, single, Outdoorsy, mountain man, investigator and sharpshooter. He tends to buy what he wants and needs, so I’m thinking Gift Cards. Maybe One from Chapters, one from WalMart, one from MEC. I think that might be best. Is it too tacky to give gift cards?

Or uhmm Maybe you have some suggestions?
