Firsts . . .

I want to tell you about my first trip overseas.

It was 11 years ago this month that I’d taken it. I’d been training for a Karate tournament called Soke Cup. It’s the World Cup tournament for that particular style of Karate I was doing that is held in Japan every three years. I’d been training for a long time, and had saved money for the trip, (I was going to go for a month. Compete for a week, and then stay at the “home Dojo” do some training.) However, things that had nothing to do with Karate were shifting and taking hold in the club I belonged too. (that’s another story) Finally, the pressure got to me and I quit. It was four months before the tournament, and not an easy decision to make, but one I felt I had to do.

There was money in the bank, a deposit already down at the travel agents, and I wanted - I needed a change. So, I went to the travel agent and told her I wanted to go SOMEWHERE. ANYWHERE really.

Mt.MatchuputcherieShe handed me a tour book from a company called EXPLORE, and suggested I check out the tours in Australia. At the time I was 24, and had never been anywhere but Canada or the US. (Although I’d already traveled those pretty extensively) I took the book home and read it. The Australian tours didn’t interest me much because they were all three weeks, but most of that time was spent in a bus, going cross-country. However, I found one that was the Annapurna Circuit in Nepal.

Lisa’s In the House!!

Lisa Renee Jones has proven to not only be a great writer, but a good friend as well. I don’t thinkI can give a higher recomendation than that. She writes for EC as well as LSB, and is the one to calm me down when I panic about promotions, and she’s also the woman that hunts down some of the wonderful prizes I give away in my contests. Her talent shines through in all of her stories, so I’m telling you now, Check them out!!

Here’s a teaaser from her EC release HURT SO GOOD.

HurtsoGoodThe first touch of his lips was soft and ever so slow. Her lashes fluttered as she absorbed the caress, melting inside out.
The distinct feel of arousal, wet and real, dampened her panties. He pulled back, looking down at her, his breath mingling with hers. Then, instead of kissing her again, he surprised her.
He slid his cheek against hers, seeming as if he was soaking in her very essence. It was a tender act, gentle and soothing yet utterly arousing. His lips brushed her ear, nuzzling the sensitive area behind it.
“You smell so damn good,” he murmured, his breath warm on her neck.
Her hands settled on his shoulders. “You do too,” she said, soaking in his spicy essence of male. “You do too.”
He was kissing her neck now, making his way to her jaw and then her chin. Then his mouth slanted over hers, his tongue sliding past her teeth, igniting a passion she barely recognized as her own. Years of suppressing the sensual side of herself had left her charged with needs. And wants. Suddenly, all of these things surfaced. She sunk into the kiss, deepening it to a more sensual level, pressing close to him.
Something inside her just went all hot and needy. Suddenly, not only was her tongue hungrily exploring his mouth, her hands were moving and touching…..

OH! and be sure to check out Lisa’s secret obsession! You won’t regret it!

Meet Delilah.

Delilah Devlin is a name you will see often, and remember! Her books are hot, and inventive, and she shows no sign of slowing down. To find out some interesting fact about this Chic, check out her Bio. It’s a great read.

Below is an excerpt from her latest release,Warlords Destiny. Enjoy!

FatedMates_Cover1Mora felt a tremor rumble beneath the polished, marble floor of the great hall, so explosive was the swell of conversation that arose at the warriors’ arrival.
They were seven, dressed in furs and leather, armed with bows slung across their shoulders and scabbards at their sides.

She couldn’t drag her gaze from the man at the head of their formation, striding toward her—her husband in name, if not yet by deed. Although she had never seen him before this day, she knew it must be him, for he looked the fiercest, the strongest—only one such as he would be chosen to rule from amongst their ranks.

He was from a race of barbarians, seemingly as proud of their reputation for brutal warfare as their orgiastic sexuality. The latter, Mora could well believe for the man stalking her now looked every inch a sensual marauder.

A shiver of awe bit the base of her spine and trembled upward until the fine hairs on the back of her neck stood erect.

Taller by a head than any Mellusian, his broad shoulders nearly blocked out the sight of the two heralds dogging his steps as they attempted to halt him. He seemed not the slightest bit interested in following protocol by waiting for his name to be addressed to the assemblage. As if anyone attending the ceremony hadn’t already guessed who he was!

He’d also eschewed the fine wedding tunic Mora’s mother had personally designed—an embroidered silk affair that would have stretched absurdly across his bulging chest and arms.

No, he wore a vest of gray animal pelts that parted at the front, no doubt to tempt a woman’s gaze to ogle his obscenely muscled chest and follow the dark arrow of hair down his hewn abdomen. The black sueded leather that encased his legs, strained over thickly corded thighs and the alarming swell of his manhood.

Mora’s heart tripped, and then fluttered like the wings of an aradil.

Her mouth dry, she forced her gaze upward to look at his face, but found no comfort there.
Lord Tetrik of Kronak—his name was as harsh as the angles of his square jaw and the sharp blade of his nose. His hair was dark like a moonless sky and worn like the old warriors in the paintings in History Hall—hanging past his shoulders with small braids on either side of his inflexible face. But his eyes frightened her most of all—chips of blue ice froze her in place as his gaze found hers across the noisy hall.

He would have to know she was his bride. She wore her wealth and importance in the weighty jewels studding her hair and gown and encircling her neck. She saw fury in that first glance. Had he already guessed he’d been cheated of the true prize? That her rich adornment was a ruse?

Wild Thing

Mystery is being a Wild Cat today. She’s been wired for days and I think it has something to do with switching her cat food. When I first got her I gave her Whiskas, because it was cheap. Then I was told giving them that was like feeding her McDonalds every day. Not so healthy. And she was all hyper all the time, and bitey. Yes Bitey. Every time I tried to pet her she’d try to bite me. Not hard, she starts with kisses and licks that turned to nibbles and bites.

After I changed her food to IAMS (Indoor cat for hairball control) She calmed down a bit, and only annoyed me occasionally. Then last week I was broke, and I picked up WHISKAS again. Because I was being cheap.

Her behavior is back to the hyperactive way she was when I got her. It makes me wonder what’s in that food.

In other news….nothing really. Sorry life is boring at the moment. :satisfied:
