What do dreams mean?

Last night I dreamt I was in a car with a friend, and boss I didn’t like. A male condescending bastard that thought women were stupid. We were on our way to pick up another car, (for whatever reason) and things started to get weird.

First, there was a tornado, coming right down the middle of the street at us. It swept over us; the car spun crazily into a pole, but didn’t get taken away. We climbed out of the car, and saw that people were running around the streets and the mall parking lots like crazy. We looked up, and there was four more funnel clouds. All heading our way!! So we ran

As we ran we stopped by a crowd that was examining some large crystal rocks. They said they’d come from the last funnel cloud. I looked up and saw that the new cloud was closer, so I grabbed my friend’s hand and we took off, ignoring the others that thought the crystals would keep them safe.

We hid in a small gift shop at the nearby mall, hunkered down in the bathroom and felt the building shake and glass break as the clouds passed over and around us. When it was quiet again we peeked out and saw people waving guns at each other and fighting over the crystals scattered all over the ground. Then, as we watched, one of the crystals blurred in a guys hands and grew into a huge funnel cloud right in front of him, taking him and everyone nearby up in it.

Then my cat jumped on the bed and woke me up.

Now, I’ve been through a couple of tornados, but this was one weird dream. Anyone out there analyze dreams? Anyone have any suggestion on what this could mean? Other than a story plot trying to break through my sub-conscious?

Sexy Lines

pic04 (39k image)

Yup, I mean those ones on the hips, that point downward and disappear under the waistband. Those are HOT! They make me want to run my fingertips over them lightly, teasingly . . . then my tongue . . . then wait! I feel inspired…must go write now. :P

Happy Monday!!

Free association

Steph tagged me so here it is!

1. Myself: Sometimes I think I have multiple personalities, but them I realize I’m just a writer, and those voices are actually characters.

2. Wisdom: On my very first trip overseas I went to Nepal. It was supposed to be a three week trip, adn it turned into three months. I don’t particularly remember any wise sayings or anything from my time there, but I do feel that I gained some wisdom from my experiences there. The main piece of wisdom being that it’s not What you have in life that makes life good, it’s what you do with it.
3. Regrets: I wish I hadn’t been so scared of letting people get close to me when I was younger.

4. Family: I love them at times, I hate them at times. Bit I always thank God for them.

5. Films: Thelma and Louise, The Rundown, A Knight’s Tale.

6. Faith: Raised Roman Catholic. Gave it up when I started thinking for myself and realised that Religion has nothign to do with Faith or Spirituality.

7. Blogging: Has brought many good people into my life and opened up anew community to me.

8. Words: I love them. I hate typing them though.

9. Friends: True friends are hard to find. I’m lucky to have a few of them.

10. Ideas: They hit me at the strangest times. Sort of like my true friends. :P

I’m tagging Charlene.

Aliens Have landed.

OK, they haven’t landed They’ve just taken away one of my hero’s. Abduction is now on sale! This is my first attempt at sci-fi, and if you’ve been reading my blog on a regular basis you might remember when I was writing it, and I posted a bit on here for opinions.

I’m working on the sequel to it right now, it’ll be out in November. In fact, with TRANSPLANT I just restarted it, because I realized the start was too much of a recap of what happened in ABDUCTION, (this is my first sequel too) so I restarted it with some action. I think starting stories in the middle of action is pretty good.

What do you think?

For a look at Abduction just click on the title. and here’s a tiny sneek peek at how TRANSPLANT starts.

Seem interesting?

Breathing hard, blood pumping, and heart pounding Max Cooper eyed the alien in front of him. Her petit height and delicate features might fool some people into underestimating her, but not him. He saw the controlled tightness of her lean muscles as she slowly circled him, and knew that she could spring into action in less time than it took him to blink. At least she wasn’t wearing her usual assortment of weapons.

Then again, he thought, the weapons would never distract him as much as her naked swaying breasts and ripe nipples were.

The second he glanced at the nipples in question he knew he’d made a mistake. Almost faster than he could see, she was on him. Literally.

Firm thighs wrapped around his waist and damp heat rub against his belly as he wrapped his arms around her tiny waist and stumbled back, struggling to keep his footing.

“Mine Max,” she growled. “You are mine, and am not willing to share.”

UPDATE:The first review for Abduction is up now! Check it out!

The Lazy Life

I got up, went to the gym, then played on the computer. Okay, it was some play and a lot of work. I finally have July’s Ezine issue ready to send out, but I’m waiting for a friend to add a graphic or two for me..cuz I messed them up.

I lay inthe sun on my deck for a while, made myself anice dinner, then sat to watch t.v and eat…and somehow got sucked into Celebrity Poker for 2 Hours!!

It is completely true that I am now a fan of David Navarro, and I somewhat like Jennie Garth. I wasn’t a fan of her in Beverly Hills 90210, but she did good at the poker table.

Other players were Jerry O’Connel, Richard Kind and Willie something.
The final 15 mins with the head to head action between David Navarro (from the Red Hot Chilli Peppers) and Richard Kind (from Spin City) was intense. And very entertaining!!!

The great thing is…I can honestly say watching it was good research because my WIP has a girls bi-weekly poker game in it!! :hehe:

Have you, or do you play poker? Or Card games at all? I used to play crib and rummy with my Grandma, I miss that.

As for poker . . .I myself have only played a time or two, and I was too drunk for any of the game to actually stick in my head. Except that I wasn’t the first one to lose all my clothes!

Review

I’ve never been real turned on by the thought of two men together. The only time I ever think of two men naked in the same room, I’d like to be the center of attention there. However, on the recommendation of a friend, I read THE EDGE by JJ Massa. And I don’t regret it one bit.

JM_TheEdge_500x800

The Edge is an erotic thriller first, and a male-male romance second. Both Tyler and Paytah are well drawn characters and the romance that develops between them as they hunt a serial killer is completely believable, and told in such an emotional way that you can’t help but feel for them.

The fast pacing and suspense of the story kept me turning the pages, and the the love scenes were tasteful and erotic. I found this book by word of mouth, and so I’m passing it on…It’s not a long read, and it’s well worth your time so when you’re looking for your next quick fix, be sure to check out THE EDGE.

Links

Hi all, it’s the holiday weekend, and I want to be in the sun, (after I hit the gym) so for todays entertainment I’m posting this link. You should defintely check it out if you have any thoughts at all on the Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes coupling.

For something else to laugh at…I’m a featured author at The Romance Studio this month. Just click here to get to my feature…and then go to the main page to read others, and vote on which one you like best. :)

In sadder news, Meandros didn’t make the top ten best sellers for June. :( I admit it, this was my first hint to how good/bad my sales were and I was really hoping to make the list so I could feel like people were reading my stories. This isn’t a plea to go buy, (I did that when it was released. ;) ) this is just me telling you all how sometimes the waiting aspect of this business really sucks.

You wait after you query a publisher, you wait at the partial stage, the full stage, you wait for edits, you wait for it to hit the shelves, then you wait for reviews, and for sales figures. LSB doesn’t track sales, and AQP only does the top ten, so despite the fact that I’ve had GYPSY HEART out snce March, I still have no idea how/if it’s selling, same for The Devil Inside and Meandros. I won’t know anything other than that until the royalty checks come every quarter. I’m so impatient.

Hopefully then I’ll be dancing on the ceiling. :)

Ok, pouting time is over. :)
