I think it's natural to wonder about this crazy path. What keeps it in perspective for me is asking myself, "What would you do if you could do anything?" Things I get a bang out of: hearing from readers, seeing my name on Amazon (3 titles there now, WOOO!), signing contracts. I love that "this is a real thing" feeling a contract gives me.

Non-business things that charge me up: seeing my daily word count go up, finishing a project, getting a scene right. I love the process of getting a story down! :D
