That makes you want to pick up and run with it. What I do, though, is plod through and usually after I get going I start to enjoy myself again and get to the good parts. :D It gets hard when you rewrite something a couple of times, too. That has taken a lot for me to get my energy up and running! And taking a nap always works, too. ;) I think you hit a real key with taking on a project that excites you. I like to pick smaller cities, come up with this weird persona, and just go. Pretending to be someone else, especially a character you've created, can be so much fun and so inspiring. It gets the creative juices flowing without having to put pen to paper (or finger to keys....hehehehe, I said 'finger'). It's like creating an all new character, and then living it. I love to hang out with a friend (or even solo) at fancy restaurants, or pool halls and just people watch. Gather material. Play a role, and maybe even have a little 'dirty' fun myself.
