UGH! It’s April 29th and it’s snowing. :angry:

Aside from that, it was another busy night at work. Nothing exciting in a good or bad way, but I did have a guy walk in off the street and ask me to call him an ambulance. AT first I though he said some guys had beat him up, but I didn’t see any blood or bruises. He was slurring real bad, but not drunk. Anyway, I called him the ambyulance, and when I turned around I saw that the guy had half of his head shaved, and a 6″ scar across his skull. Ahhh. . . head injury = slurred speach.

The ambulance came pretty fast, and three EMT’s met me at the door where I was standing with the guy, and wouldn’t you know it. All three EMT’s were pretty hot. Of course, the bar was busy so I couldn’t flirt, but hey…it was a nice view…made my heart got pitter patter to see the hero’s of everyday life.

I came home to an email from the editor at AQP and a picture of the cover for my sci-fi short story. I must say . . .it’s perfect for the story. I love it. :D

I hate to jinx myself, but I’ve had a really good week. :)

I haven’t gotten much writing done, but I’m back to working out more regularly, (Still no change in what the scale says…yet) I finally got my taxes done! And despite the fact that it was very quiet at work last night…I had a great night.

Last night made me feel really good. It was very quiet, and I didn’t make much money…but I had a chance to talk to alot of regulars that I don’t normally “chat” with when I’m busy. It reminded me of why I enjoy bartending so much. It taks all kinds of people to make the world go ’round, and you can find a good variety of them in your local pub.

It’s funny, the thing I love most about my job is the people I get to talk to, and the thing I hate most about my job, the thing that can ruin a night, is also the people. :crazy:

Either way, when I’m loving it or hating it, bartending also feeds my creative well. The stories people tell me, or to look at their antics and think “What could he possibly be thinking to do that?”. It all Makes me want to write more. :D

I tell you Katie and Joe are going to take me for a ride. How do I know this? 4 months ago, when I decided to continue their short story into a full novel, I wrote a synopsis for it. But since then, I kept stalling on the actual writing of it. Now I know why.

These two are full of surprises, and they are NOT going to stick to any plans I might have for them.

This is going to be fun! :P

Do you think that some people are just naturally more sexual than others? That it doesn’t matter whom they are with, they just want sex and it’s always good?

Forget about the stereotypes, think about you’re experiences. I’ve known some guys that say sex is no big deal. They can take it or leave it, and not stress. I’ve also known some women that can’t go two weeks without sex, even if it means they pick up a new guy every two weeks.

Those people, man or woman, that say sex is no big deal…do you think it’s because they haven’t felt a real connection with someone?

And what about the ones that crave it? Is it the actual sex they crave, or the possibility of a connection? I mean, it can’t just be the craving for an orgasm, because, face it; anyone can have an orgasm pretty much anytime they want. And, I for one, know that my best orgasms usually come from self pleasure

What about when you find that ultimate connection?

If you’re someone that says sex isn’t a big deal…and you find a long-term partner, does that change? Do you want sex more because it’s available?

Or if you’re someone that’s always felt they needed it. Once you’re in a long-term relationship, does that need diminish?

Sex can be good, and it can be bad. As women, sometimes sex isn’t always about the orgasm, but about the need to feel close to someone, skin to skin, touching and tasting.

This is the saying on one of the posters here in my room. I’ve had it so long, that sometimes I don’t even see it anymore. However, I tend to notice it right when I need to.

Why do I need to read this right now? Because I’m not sure what my next step should be, writing wise.

When I subbed THE DEVIL INSIDE to LSB the editor was happy to hear I was thinking of making it a series, and really encourgaed me to follow through with it. But, before I could get to work on the next one I had tod od the sci-fi short for AQP. And the editor there made me feel really good by telling me it hooked him on the first page.:) So, things are looking good. I have another short due for AQP (not until November though) and LSB is looking forward to my next story, and I admit…my impatience to get more stuff of my own out there makes my want to work on the eBook first cuz it’s a faster process.

However, I blogged a while back abotu not wanting the surge in erotic stories to pass me by. Large publishers , such as Berkley, St.Martins,and Nal are all looking for sexy erotic stories. And Virgin Books is launching their Cheek line. And my editor at Virgin books expressed an interest in seeing something from me.

So, after spending most of this past week promoting and partying in cyber space with the SiNners and Cupids Library Reviews Scavenger Hunt, I’m not sure what to work on next. Should I write the next DEVIL book? Which I admit I’m excited about, or work on WILLING, which I am also excited about?

My original plan was to do the partial for WILLING, then start on the next DEVIL one while I subbed the partial, but ai admit, I’m impatient enough to want to see another of my books available soon.

So stick to the plan for success? Or Toss the plan and put off the partial again? I think I’ve made my choice while writing this…but I’d like to know what you all think?

If I’m still unsure when I sit down to write later today…I’ll flip a coin. :P
That’s my fave way to make a desicion.

What do you do when you can’t make up you’re mind?

OK, Life has been hectic the last couple of days, and iot promises to stay that way until I get my taxes done! :crazy:

First off, I need to brag. :D
On Wednesday night our boss took the staff bowling. She arranged for some others to come in and work that night so we could all go. (She does something like this twice a year for us…to keep up staff morale. Nice, Huh?) Anyways, I haven’t bowled in over 15 years, and it was never a big thing for me then either. I did it a couple times in gym class, that was it. So we started out, and everyone made fun of me cuz I had nothing but gutter balls for the first three frames. It was ok, I was having fun, and Dani, (my boss) said I could win the “Lowest score” Prize. :P

I’m not sure what happened, if it was just figuring out how to make the ball go where I wanted it or determination or what, but at the end of the night, I won the “Highest Score” prize from my team!! :hehe: So much fun. I think the change occured when Dani started handing out mini-chocolate bars to everyone that got a strike or a spare. :D

Yesterday, I got up and went to the gym first thing. I NEED to get back to it. I’ve been trying for the last five years to find a way to balance working out with everything else going on in my life. I workout, but I don’t want to do it five days a week. Well, in the last five years I’ve gained 60 pounds…so it’s obvious to me now that that plan won’t work. I knwo age has a bit to do with it. But I’ve decided I’m NOT gaining anymore, and I need to lose at least 50 of that 60, so I’m back in the gym 5 days a week. In order to do it thatmuch, I need to go right when Iwake up, or I get caught up in other stuff (like email or blogging or writing) and don’t go. SO yesterday I went, then I did the SiN party and had an absolute blast! PLenty of pictured of hotties, and chatter from readers that I had running around the internet trying to win prizes! :laugh:

Then at work last night. My left butt cheek was extremely sore. Yup, it was bowling butt. I wasn’t the only one with it either. A few of us were a bit lopsided yesterday. But we all had fun, so it’s been a great couple days. And Now I’m back to a regular schedule. Except for those damn taxes!

Ok, I’ve caught you all up on my life. Sadly, still no man anywhere to be seen. Although I did have a nice dream about one last night. Not a sexual one either. Just a dream about this tall dark and sexy mand walking around the park with me, holding hands.

Maybe I should get back on that on-line dating thing this weekend too. :)
