I wasn’t panicking yesterday because I though only three, or four, of my files were corrupted. A coupl eof crits, and a two short stories. (I’ve recovered most of what I’d lost through copies that cp’s still had on their computers.)

Turns out MORE are getting corrupted! The bad thing is, it’s not only happening on my HD, but on the usb Jump Drive I use to back them up! Last night I went to work on the novel I’m editing right now…and I couldn’t get into the files! Not the ones on the hard drive, nor the ones on the jump drive.

I was almost in tears, but thank God, even though I hadn’t saved them to disk yet, I’d emailed copies to myself! Now I have them emailed and saved to disk!! Double back up, and I do believe I will never forget to back things up again! :satisfied:

Hi all. I know some of you have alrady checked out the new pages…but I have to boast about them! I just love the new Sweet Treats page! I plan on adding more pictures, and more articles, Travel and otherwise. I thought about adding a section with some excerpts from my WIP’s, but I’m not sure. For now I tend to just send out teasers to the people subscribed for updates. So if you’re not subscribed, you ‘re missing out!

I’ve had a bit of a setback in a couple of my stories. Some corrupted files. But at least it’s only three or four files, and to do with two stories. So I’ll just have to rewrite them. Which might be a good thing since they were old stories I was ‘rewriting’ in the first place.

The plan today is to keep on polishing Gypsy Heart in case EC, or the agent, requests it. *fingers crossed*

My new webpages are coming soon! Genevieve spent an hour on the phone talking me through how to do a few things on my computer, because, well, I’m not that technical. :rolleyes:

One of the new things I learned is how to resize my photos..Ok I know it sounds simple..but for those of you that have never used a MAC, things are slightly different. I’m a newbie on the MAC, and although I do love it…sometimes I feel a bit lost.

Anyway, I’m was playing with my pictures…and decided I had to share this one {{popup Nepal94.JPG Nepal94 200×300}}Nepal94. Now you can see what I looked like 10 years ago when trekking in Nepal! :laugh:

Today I sent an email query to an agent for Gypsy Heart!! :D

I’m quite excited. I’ve never queried an agent before. I’ve been told to expect a form rejection. :( But I’m going to try it anyway. And I’m not on a huge agent hunt, I am just trying the one agency because they have some authors I like, and I think they can help me not only sell my novel, but get my career on a path that will only move onwards and upwards! Hopefully an agent that will help me extend stories into Single Titles one day!

Mini chocolate bars are everywhere! :hehe:

I love the month of October simply because with Halloween coming there a bags and bags of mini chocolate bars everywhere I look. I don’t eat TOO many of them, but I do love to have one, or three, a day! Sorta like medication. :P

Ok, everyone cross their fingers! I just emailed a rewrite of another erotic short story to my editor at Black Lace. Here’s hoping she likes it! :hehe:

In other news, not much is going on. I plan on working all weekend. No jumping of young bones yet. ;) I picked up an extra shift at the restaurant on Sat, not the best thing I’ve done, but hopefully it’ll be short. Then I have another erotic short story to finish….this one inspired by my recent trip to Greece. It needs to be in the mail by Monday at the latest. I’m a bit behind. :(

Mystery, the kitty, is still alive and an adorable pest. :P

OH! And this afternoon I’m polishing my entry for the SOME LIKE IT HOT! writing contest on Tawny Taylor’s website. If it places I’ll be sure to let you all know so you can go read it. :rolleyes:
