Todays Horoscope.

It comes in my email, my daily Horoscope. Sometimes I read it, sometimes I don’t. Sometimes, it’s freaky how I can actually apply it to my life.

Your Thursday Horoscope, Sasha!
A dreamy partner tempts you, but the practical reality of where you are headed should guide you into a steadier existence. The tension that exists in your life is from making choices based on short-term pleasure seeking instead of long-term desire.

More Procrastination.

This time I’m procrastinating on my writing. I’m doing a rewrite of a short story that needs to be done by friday. I’m almost done, yet I find my mind needs to leave the story fairly often right now. And guess what I found in my surfing? …an article on “What men think is Hot!” Number one…a woman that will ” Take the Initiative.”

Hmmm, is that a hint that I should jump someones bones? :hehe:

Procrastination

I did it again. Last night I planned on going to the gym after work, but I didn’t.
It’s such a weird thing, because I actually enjoy working out. Especially when I go to the gym late at night when there’s maybe only 5 other people in the whole place. Yet, sometimes I just don’t go.
Lack of consistency in working out makes losing weight a bit difficult. :doze:

Two men at once.

OK, I admit it.

I’ve fantasized about having two men at once. I’ve even had the opportunity to make it happen before, yet I never took it. The last time, I didn’t take it simply because the men didn’t ‘do it’ for me. They weren’t worth the risk.

What am I risking, besides personal safety? Let’s consider personal safety a non-issue in this discussion. To me, the big risk is losing the fantasy.

I’ve lived a fantasy or two, and the reality has never lived up t o my expectations. So that makes me doubt this one would. However, I just spent three hours in the company of some very sexy, charming young men that make me think that maybe, just maybe, the fantasy might work. Too bad I’m too realistic to let myself get carried away by it. :(

However, one fantasy I’m growing more willing to let myself get carried away by is the ‘older woman’ seduction one. I’m actually worried I might just try to seduce this one young man…I’m human. I fear rejection. Ok not so much the actual rejection…but what if I still see him AFTER the rejection? That’s the fear… and then there ’s the fear of acceptance!

Ok. There’s NO fear of acceptance. If he accepted I’d tie him to my bed and not let him up for days. :P

I’m Back!

And happy to say my kitty, Mystery, did not wreck the apartment while I was gone. The drive up was pretty uneventful. I saw lot’s of deer and a few coyotes, but they didn’t jump in front of my car so I was happy. :)

The Trade Show itself was a bit of a disapointment. So many people said how beautiful my Mom’s stuff was, but not many people wanted to spend the money on the higher priced items. I’m not sure I’ve ever mentioned it on here before, but my Mom is a glass artisan. She does everything from traditional stained glass, to hand made glass eads and jewlery, to functional art bowls and plates. When I have a a way to show some pictures on my website, I’ll post some of her stuff….I’m so proud of her. :D

It was so beautiful up there. I miss the mountains. The trees were changing, and the air was clean. Wildlife was out getting ready for the cold to come. On the drive home, it was still daylight when we left town, and I saw a wolf and a bear! Not together of course….they were about 30 miles apart….and ohh so wonderful to see.

I’m home now, back to writing and editing. And blogging.

Congratulations to Larissa for making the fianls of the Lori Foster Brava Contest with a fantastic entry! Gotta love a man in uniform! :P

Friday!

Yay, the weekend is almost here!

I have a busy, busy weekend ahead of me so I won’t be posting until Monday probably. You see, I help my Mom out with her creative passion. She’s a glass artisan, and very shy about selling her work. Whereas I, am not shy about selling her beautiful stuff. She’s in a Trade Show/Craft fair this weekend in a small northern town here in Alberta. I’ll be making the 5 hour drive up there after work tonite….(I’m supposed to get off work at 10 instead of 3 a.m. ) so that I can be there with her this weekend.

I understand why she gets shy at things like this. I can’t imagine putting a story out there for every one to read, right there in front of me, and then wait to see if they buy it. I mean I know we do that with books on shelves and stuff, but I’m not standing right there while they read it. Seeing their facial expressions, or hearing the comments they make to the friend next to them. Open and in your face rejection like that can be very hard on a person…however, if we sell lots…it’s open and in your face acceptance..and Yahoooo!!!!

Have a good weekend everyone!

Almost

doesn’t count. That’s what I keep reminding myself.

Why? Because I’m almost ready to send in my submission to an epublisher.

I’ve decided to submit to Elloras Cave, and to Liqued Silver Books.

I like EC because they are very well known and have helped launch some pretty good writers to another level of their career. However, the wait for their response after a submission is up to 4 months. I know 4 months isn’t long…but I’m impatient.

LS Books doesn’t seem as well known to me, but they are very supportive of their writers, they seem to be very into promoting their books and the wait for a response is only one month. This appeals to me beyond my impatience, because I would like to find an editor that will work with me, and help me grow as a writer. And I like to have things to give away on here. :P

As readers, would you consider purchasing an e book of mine? If yes, would you care which e-publisher it was with?

Ofcourse, there’s no gaurentees that either of them will WANT my stories.

Oh my!!

Thanks to Steph I now have some new insights. :hehe:

The Devil Card
You are the Devil card. The Devil is based on the
figure Pan, Lord of the Dance. The earthy
physicality of the devil breeds lust. The
devil’s call to return to primal instincts
often creates conflict in a society in which
many of these instincts must be kept under
control. Challenges posed by our physical
bodies can be overcome by strength in the
mental, emotional, and spiritual realms. Pan is
also a symbol of enjoyment and rules our
material creativity. The devil knows physical
pleasure and how to manipulate the physical
world. Material creativity finds its output in
such things as dance, pottery, gardening, and
sex. The self-actualized person is able to
accept the sensuality and usefulness of the
devil’s gifts while remaining in control of any
darker urges. Image from The Stone Tarot deck.

Gypsy Heart

Gypsy Heart is the novel I wrote last summer. The one I am currently rewriting and editing, with plans to submit to Elloras Cave.

I was surfing around the internet, looking for something fun to waste time on, and I found a Doll website. On this doll website I found a doll that looks exactly as I describe Sable, the h in GH, down to exactly what she is wearing on her date with the H. This is her.

Visit The Doll Palace [Where Cartoon Dolls Live]

Click on the doll to visit The Doll Palace…it’s a great way to procrastinate! :P
