The 3 E’s

Anna is my friend from Germany. We met in South Africa three years ago and keep in touch via the internet. When I said I was going to take a holiday in Greece she said she would meet me in Athens. She did, and we have spent the last few days developing a pattern. It wasn’t planned, it just sort of happened. We like it very much and we call it the 3 E’s. Here is a brief explantion, with more to come in “The Adventures of Anna and Sasha” A tell all novel I plan to write someday that will entertain millions. ;)

Exercise~ Swimming in the amazingly clear waters and resting intermitantly on the beach/ rocks.

June 6, Malyvos, Greece

I left Athens on Friday night on the 7 o’clock ferry to Lesvos Island. It is an allnight ferry and you can get a cabin if you want. Me, I go the cheap route and instead of paying out 118 Euro dollars I hand over 20 and take a deck seat. It wasn’t so bad.

Planes, Ferries, and Hotels

Hi there!
Where to start? Well, three planes to get me to Athens, and then an overnight Ferry to the Island of Lesvos. That was the plan.

However, I am now at a very fancy Hotel in Athens, thanks to a technical problem with the plane in Frankfurt. A two and a half hour delay caused me to miss my ferry and ultimatly a whole day of my holiday as there is only one ferry a day/night. So instead of laying the sun on an island tomorow I will be wondering the streets here to kill time. There is a swimming pool so I might just stay there all day. :)

I wish I could be done with the travelling part for a few days, the overnight ferry will be a bore, but I guess I can’t really complain about being put up in a four star hotel with a rooftop swimming pool can I?:)

I’ll post more news from Greece soon.

And if I can figure out how to post pics of the hot Greek men, I’ll be sure to do that as well. ;)

Greece

Thanks to Matt Barrets Athens Survival Guide I’ve managed to make a sketchy outline of what I plan to do and where I plan to go while in Greece.

I arrive in Athens on June 3, and it’s immediately onto the overnight ferry to Lesvos Island. I plan to spend the first 5 days of my trip soaking up the sun and the atmosphere. Relaxing by the pool and visiting the beach.

Then on June 9th a Dear Friend of mine from Germany will be meeting me in Athens and we plan to Eat, Shop, and see the Sights.

She goes back to Germany on the 14th and I move onto Poros Island, (Thanks for mentioning the quiet one Larissa) where I will once again, relax, soak up the atmosphere and a large quantity of sunshine, along with as much fabulous eats and drinks as possible.

I plan to spend my fast day in Greece In the city of Athens, strolling around one last time before retiring to the Attalos Hotel for a good nights sleep before starting my journey back to Canada.

Of course, I realize the best-laid plans rarely work out, but for me, it always seems that the unexpected turns out to be GOOD things. So I look forward to some pleasant surprises.
